lipstick woes

Hi, I have a problem with my very thin top lip. As I've got older it's almost disappeared altogether! I think it makes me look very hard.
Is there anything I can do? In my youth I followed the advice of using a lip liner just above the lip, but honestly as all you can see of my top lip is a narrow line that just looks ridiculous now!
Any ideas ladies?
