I am 37 and have worse spots than I have ever had in my life. I was never especially spotty as a teen as the rest of my skin has always been quite dry and I suspect these ones are all post children (the DC range from age 6 - age 1). The spots are pretty much confined to the area around my mouth and chin, chin especially. Little whiteheads and red bumps. No blackheads. I am a terrible picker though which I know is bad. I also get little red spots which are filled with white pus on my arms which I squeeze and which then scar.
I cleanse with micellar water morning and night and use a Clearasil daily scrub thing in the shower every morning. I then use Astral moisturiser morning and night. I stood and stared blankly at the more fancy cleansing products in our tiny Boots last week but was none the wiser. Can anyone recommend anything high street (Boots or Superdrug) which is reasonably cheap which might sort out these spots?
I do have Liz Earle cleanser (the one with the cloth) and toner but find it faffy so don't use it. Should I be making more of an effort?
