Scary Skin Problem

For the past two months I have had hypopigmentation on my left check - a rather large streak that is a about half a shade lighter than my skin tone (its not terribly notable to other people but of course sticks out very clearly to me). I went to dermatologist and she did a woods light test and blood work (ruling out vitiligo-which is the only thing that comes up when I google hypopigmantaiton and researching it has left me terrified). I have now started developing some small patches of the hypoigmantiaion on my right side and chin. The dermatologist prescribed me a cream (Daktacort - miconazoie nitrate 2% with 1% hydrocortisone) but I haven't noticed any changes and I have noticed more small spots developing. My dermatologist has suggested I wait a few weeks and if it gets worse to consult my GP for allergy testing.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I am starting to turn into a nervous reck over this and am terrified that it will be permanent.
