For anyone with a shiny nose...

I have a bloody awkward face - I'm 40, the odd line and wrinkle is appearing, parts of my face get dry. But my nose - whole t-zone really - still tends to be oily. I've tried many different powders/primers with no success but I have now found something that works! Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral Powder. I put it on topic my usual BB cream first thing this morning and it's still going strong, no shiny face. Everything else I've tried has needed re-applying by the time I get home from the school run. Hope this is of use to someone else!

All a result of lurking on the Asian/Korean skincare thread. Going to cost me money!!

many years ago i used a Japanese product called katsugo (or katsuko) which reduced the amount of oil produced; it was bloody BRILLIANT and worked a miracle on my oil slick t- panel, but they either stopped making it or exporting it

Wil give this a go and report back

Gatekeeper its called Ketsugo, it is made of shark's bile, or a synthetic derivative of it, it was sold in Superdrug on and off for years then disappeared. I suspect Clinique's spray for spotty backs is the same or similar substance, as it smells the same as ketsugo. I have tried everything for acne over the years.

And on a quick check on t'internet, it looks like clinique have stopped making it too. I still have a bottle in my bathroom.

theladyloves - I've been using it after applying my bb cream (I'm not using foundation currently but guess it would be fine over that too). It comes with a little puff in the pot but I'm using a very soft powder brush and lightly sweeping it over wherever it's needed. It's a white powder but doesn't look it when applied. Smells nice too!

Have also seen that it comes as a pressed compact as well as a loose powder - I want one for travelling!! There's also a serum version which I would be interested in giving a go.
