Why do my leggings keep getting holes in the crotch?

It's sort of to the side (usually at the top of one leg). I am guessing it's where my legs rub?

Anyway to prevent it?

I think it's just that's where the pressure point is when they are stretched by pulling them on. Plus, clothes are not always made especially well or with the best materials.
