Shampoo/conditioner/products for wavy/curly hair

I have recently had my hair cut in this style (see pic) from a shoulder length bob.

My hair is pretty much the same thickness and curl at the photo but I've just washed it with my usual shampoo and conditioner and its looking limp/dry and slightly frizzy rather than curly and soft like it was when I left the hairdressers.

Can anyone recommend any shampoos/conditioners/products I can try? Ideally something I can get easily on the highst or in the supermarket.

I'm currently using Aussie Mega shampoo, Trevor Sorbie curl conditioner and Trevor Sorbie light hold curl cream.

Don't use frizz ease- I found it made my curly hair very greasy!

I use herbal essence - the red one and like it. Currently use Umberto Giannini as styling product www.boots.com/en/Umberto-Giannini-Curl-Friends-Natural-Curls-Styling-Cream_1541395/

I steer clear of frizz ease products as I've found them to be pretty crap but thanks for the heads up!

I'll have a look at the Umberto giannini style cream though as I did think perhaps it was the curling cream making my hair greasy and heavy.

Umberto G curl jelly. It's revolutionised my long wavy frizzy hair. I absolutely swear by it and this is from a Kerastase addict!

So jelly rather than a cream? Does it dry crunchy or do the curls stay soft?

Soft, but you have to experiment to get the right amount. I've used it on wet hair and used too much and a couple of strands went not exactly crunchy but they were too 'defined' for my liking.

It really is great and doesn't weigh my hair down at all.

I use that Aussie shampoo and also their 3 minute miracle conditioner.

the star product for me though is Boots Ingredients coconut leave in conditioner. It is cheap and sprayed liberally in my hair (and DD's) it stops frizz but does not weigh down. Our hair is very curly but also quite delicate so anything too heavy and it just goes limp.

I also use Umberto G hair oil - just a really small amount - depending a bit on weather and state of my hair for just a bit of extra defrizzing. always stays soft - I don't like my curls to be crunchy!

I hadn't thought of using a leave in conditioner on it as I did think it would weigh it down.

I have found the boots coconut wash out conditioner to be too heavy but the leave in might be lighter

I use the Naked shampoo, conditioner and styling creme. It does lovely stuff to my curly-underneath-straight-on-top mop.

Liz Earle hair oil. So light and way better than the oils I tried a few years back. Has been amazing for me.

I impulse bought L'oreal elvive smooth intense shampoo in tescos yesterday (was on offer) and now my hair is dry I have lovely ringlet curls. Still abit fluffy so thinking I may need to go with a different styling product to get the shine in.

Lots of products to try, each one suits different people so not offering advice on products but...

Dry your hair wit a cotton tshirt rather than a towel

Sounds mad but it really reduces frizz
