They're more than £40-60 because they're made in small quantities in this country, presumably by people who earn more than 50p a day for the pleasure. The fabric alone for the first two dresses with very full skirts would probably cost that.

Not identical but if you like those, I imagine you'll like a few of these. Some of her stuff is a bit out there but there are some amazing pieces. Please don't be put off by the fact she's in China, I've bought from there before and everything is amazing quality and ships as quickly as possible!

Also, have a look on Joy? They have that sort of style a lot.

Maybe lindy pop, they are slightly similar in style. eBay or amazon.

Some of the stuff on www.lindybop.co.uk might work for you.
And if you want to support British made they have a section for that www.lindybop.co.uk/made-in-britain-c14

For that price you could buy the fabric and go to a 6 hour sewing course that would take you through the process of making the dress to your specific measurements, and you'd then be able to replicate it at your leisure.

Vivien of Holloway do similar styles, cheaper but still pricer than you hoped (lots of material will make full dresses hard to make cheaply in this country without quality being shit).

Also try Lady V London

The colours are so drab. Post war austerity.....without austerity prices! There's no feckin' way one of those plain cotton dresses is worth £325!!!

Find a dressmaker local to you to make one up for you for 20% of their crazy prices
