morning all

ugggh, I am sooooo cold. Can't decide what I should wear in case it warms up at all later

Pleased to report that my new mattress is very very comfy, I actually slept through the night for the first time in weeks!

I have found myself struggling to dress for this weather at the moment!
I am sooo intrigued by the whole style analysis thing, I told dh I wanted to get it done and he laughed and said I wasn't a celebrity Hmm
so instead I've started a new board on pin with clothes I actually have in the hope it will help.
I'm at the heavier side of the weight I like at the moment really wish I could get motivated! Amber is so brave posting bikini shots!
how are you?

All good Cartoon
Just point out to DH that in spending the money on style (and colours) if you haven't already - that you'll be saving money in the long term as you will no longer buy stuff that doesn't suit you.
My DH is now convinced (but it took a while)
Big wave to Marsha how are you doing?

cartoon the colour analysis definitely saves money and time. I often walk into shops now and then walk straight out again as I can see instantly they have nothing that will suit me.

Thanks for the new thread shop. I am wearing your cream APC sweater today with the orange statement necklace, Santa's trench coat and Bernice's Ray Jones tan and taupe brogues! I managed a black flared Boden skirt and nude tights out of my own shopping efforts Blush.

Good news on getting a full nights sleep one. You must feel like a new woman!

at the moment I'm the sort who can find something I like in most shops as for whether it actually suits me who knows. if I like it, it fits and looks ok then it's a keeper. perhaps why I get bored of clothes quickly.
me and ds are currently wearing pjs and dressing gowns very stylish!

Hello Cartoon!

One great news on the sleep.

Thanks for setting up new thread Shop.

ootd is Roland mouret dress from banana Republic nd my favourite zara black jacket with lk bennett trench. it's a rare outing for my louboutins as they are murder to wear! accessories are proenza schouler ps13 bag in salmon colour, boodles raindance ring, swarovski bracelet with pink gemstone and the blingiest watch in the world. It's got pink straps and the face of it has diamonds all around the outside and then pink sapphires all on the inside. I think I wore it to an mu once. I am actually amazed having seen that anyone thinks I have something credible to say on fashion. Grin

right dashing off for a coaching session with the actor. have a great day everyone x

Not that brave Cartoon - it's a secret Instagram account - no IRL friends know about it! I might put a before and after shot on here at the end of 12 weeks - that would motivate me Wink

Am excited this morning because DH has got us tickets to the capital summertime ball which means I'll get to see 1D (dry will understand). Shame no Zayn though, he was always the fittest.

As usual I'm in my sports wear (tiny shorts and a sports bra so a particularly in appealing ensemble). One day I will wear proper clothes!

QueenC love the green and white top and the Reiss top. Think I might try the Reiss top myself - will size down!

Hang on a minute Novice you can't say you're having a coaching session with an actor then run! We need to know more...... Bling sounds, well, very bling, love it Smile

Thanks for the shiny new thread Shop

Morning Cartoon. Will look for you on pin, are you the same name?

Lib lovely sounding outfit. Are you in the office today?

One really pleased you had a good nights sleep.

Have just walked the dog so am wearing jeans and an old hoody; I had lovely soft curly hair prior to the walk which has now morphed into a frizzy mess so need to go and rectify it.

Oh and love the dress you posted last night Muddling.

Great new thread, cheers Shop

Acne shearling pistols out of hibernation and back on my feet today, it's so cold. Brr brr. In fact this weather is stopping me from buying any more s/s clothing as I feel there will not be much time to wear it.

Dry Linus think I may join you with the classic gamine or am I gamine classic how do I know which one to put first? Whichever one is my dominant trait?

Report
shopafrolic · 29/04/2015 10:07

Yup Betty I think so, most dominant first. Wafts off in overly dramatic fashion Grin

Brrr it's cold. Even the heating has come on as it was still set on the thermostat and went down to 16 degrees. Boots are back out im afraid.

I'm in cycling gear. Coukdnt do circuits with my bruised foot so rode instead. Im a bit soggy now although blue skies seem to be appearing.

I'm going to have one last try on of everything and decide what's keepers and what's going back (after showering of course)

AmberNectarine · 29/04/2015 10:28

your dominant trait is the second one betty so I am a dramatic gamine, I.e. I'm a gamine with dramatic tendencies. Essentially that means I wear gamine clothing with dramatic details - so a fitted shift dress with studs or zips or made from leather would be a good example of something that would suit (not that I own any such thing, though I would like a leather dress).

fedup I think we already have each other on pin, and a few other of you lovely ladies. I use my real name on pin but I don't think it's hard to figure out my mn name gives a bit of a clue.
right am dressed but in lounge wear with a turban on my wet hair! feeling very lazy today and the rain isn't helping.
dry outfit sounds fabulous, I love a bit of bling.

"A gamine is a slim, often boyish, elegant, wide-eyed young woman who is, or is perceived to be, mischievous, teasing or sexually appealing".

Thought I'd google gamine, I just thought it meant being small Confused this is what Wikipedia, said made me laugh about being gamine. [gamine]

the black ballet flats that I have been lusting after for months and only had one size left (MINE!) have sold out now.

No such thing as gamine classic betty, gamine is pretty much always the dominant trait. Gamines are very chatty and lively - when you are one it's kind of all or nothing, which is why I'm 99% sure dry definitely is one of our number!
