This is a great article about how different make-up counters interpret the "natural look"

I like being able to slide the various photos.

What a great article, thank you.

It is isn't it? And she's funny. I'd be going for Nars or Bobbi Brown based on this although I think her original make-up looked good as well.

It's such a good idea. I like the NARS too, she looks young and 'fresh'.

Interesting. I think having her eyebrows professionally tinted would love a lot of her preoccupations, though! Is agree with Nars and BB.

OttiliaVonBCup Tue 14-Apr-15 20:06:11

I like Nars the best I think.

Thanks-I liked it. I used to like natural look before I discovered red lipsticks that suit me smile

JasperDamerel Tue 14-Apr-15 20:09:04

I like the Nars best, too. I don't have a handy Nars counter locally, though.

That's a really interesting article, and good that she's a 'normal' looking woman, rather than a 15 year old super-model type. The Nars one is definitely the best. Scary how wrong a couple of the foundations were.

I read this too and also liked the Nars look the best. I didn't even know there was a Nars counter in Glasgow (last pic gave it away). I now know it's in Frasers.

SwedishEdith Tue 14-Apr-15 20:16:17

Yes, I like that she's normal looking. Some of the foundations seemed to try to cover up her freckles - not good.

RufusTheReindeer Tue 14-Apr-15 20:16:31

Very good

I struggle with lipsticks, I seem to turn them all pink for some reason

She had a lipstick on that looked nice from Urban decay! wonder which one it was

twirlypoo Tue 14-Apr-15 20:17:07

Ooh I like this, I think I will check out the Mars counter when I'm next in town!

RufusTheReindeer Tue 14-Apr-15 20:17:35

I once went to a makeup counter that matched my foundation to the colour of my freckles

Not a good look

HoneyDragon Tue 14-Apr-15 20:18:20

I was really impressed with no.7.

I thought Lancôme and Clarins a little aging though, and not complimentary to her skin tone.

GobblersKnob Tue 14-Apr-15 20:21:03

The NARS one is really lovely.

StrawberryTallCake Tue 14-Apr-15 20:28:28

I liked her Mac and Nars look, excellent article, tq.

Bakeoffcake Tue 14-Apr-15 20:39:47

I too like the Nars one best.

Some of them look shockingly bad!

PetiteBateau Tue 14-Apr-15 20:46:22

I like the No7 one best

RL20 Tue 14-Apr-15 20:46:36

Great article! Thanks for posting.

The Urban Decay look is nice, it's the sort of 'natural' look that I like, although I agree that the foundation looks quite heavy.
The Lancôme and Benefit look very orangey on her skin!
I love how glowy her skin looks with the MAC BB cream. Wish I could get away with just wearing a BB cream but I need a bit more coverage than that.

chanie44 Tue 14-Apr-15 20:51:09

Fab article. It's amazing what a bit of subtle make up can do, although I agree that far too many products were used.

Tanaqui Tue 14-Apr-15 20:51:17

I liked the no 7 one too. I thought urban decay and mac made her look older, though may have been the pose/ smile etc. Nars had too many steps for what I think if as natural (=easy, like the 4 things for clarins, thought I agree the Nars looked better. For me that would be making a massive effort though!)

yazzy85 Tue 14-Apr-15 20:55:51

Thanks for sharing, good article. I like the Nars look best too. Any idea which Nars foundation they used?

JohnCusacksWife Tue 14-Apr-15 21:12:01

Good article. Interesting that so many like the Nars look. I think it's a bit meh. Think her eyes look amazing in the Urban Decay makeup.

scarletforya Tue 14-Apr-15 21:20:13

I liked the nars and Mac looks best. Benefit was awful, the foundation didn't match her skin.
