The ENDLESS quest for a tan leather A4 folder fitting shoulder bag grinds on...

... With no luck.

I'm am bored of looking now. It's been YEARS. I've started so many threads. I've thought that I've found 'the one' so many times. It's never happened.

The closest I came was the Radley Grosvenor in tan, which I LOVE, but is slightly too small to comfortable fit an A4 folder/notebook.

Has anyone seen one?

I want:

A shoulder bag with a decent, wide strap. Nothing cross body- I want one to fit snugly one one shoulder.

Something which doesn't cost the earth.

I like vintage, saddle bag styles. But am open to suggestion.

Any ideas?

I buy hobo style bags - try House of Fraser Linea weekend.

Visconti bags - great quality and beautiful. I have a men's messenger

But there ate plenty if women's tan shoulder styles - what about the Joanna or Beth?

Sorry, should have listed one or two of the endless conditions preventing me actually finding the bag- I don't like hobo or very slouchy bags.

I'd like a Chloe marcie but I can't afford one. I had a decent marcie 'tribute' which I got off amazon a couple of years back but it's now died.

I can't see any tan shoulder bags big enough on that site, Sunshine- am I missing them?

Take an look on the Ally Capelino website for the Molly tote bag. There is one called brown, though it looks dark tan to me. Though not sure whether the price is acceptable. Sorry can't link as my iPad seems to have opted out if being able to do that recently hmm

If you ever find the hallowed object I think the universe might just implode!

I have no more suggestions sad

They do 'sand' which is a lighter tan or 'vintage tan' which is slightly darker[typew]=Handbags

What about the Storksak Elizabeth

I know it's a change bag but I doubt anyone would know tbh.

Have you looked at the Scaramanga site? I've got a lovely tan satchel from there, the longer I have it the softer and better it gets.

Fat face, £80 looks better in real life

Also take a look at the Carla tassel trim tote on the Russell & Bromley website. V tempted by that myself.

This one takes A4

I had some joy with The Leather Store after a similar lengthy search - might be worth a look? Very impressed with the quality

Thanks for looking- but I'm sorry to say, none of those are doing it for me.

I don't like white stitching, shopper-style open top bags or anything messenger like that goes across the body.

I do believe the world would implode if I found one I liked grin

I bloody LOVE that, jimmy- but it's too small to fit an A4 anything in sad

If you've got something definite in mind have you thought about getting something made? Possibly not as expensive you would expect.

The Lola from Russell & Bromley.. Had it for Xmas from DH and love it.. Although do miss a little inside pocket for mobile etc to save rummaging!

It might be worth seeing it in real life as it measures 23cm x 29cm which is just about A4.....
