And no other sport (I thjnk) does? Why not just shorts or hot pant things
oh, it'll be one of those silly 'it's always been this way it's tradition' things, I bet.
Plenty of sports still wear skirts, hockey, netball, etc.
They wear skirts in hockey and netball don't they?
You can actually move more in a skirt than in shorts, unless they are stretchy- maybe that is why?
It's usually skorts nowadays.Players can wear shorts if they choose (except Wimbledon, which has a fossilised dress code). I don't know why players make the choices they do.
I wonder if the dresses pull up the trunk do to speak. I'd forgotten about hockey. I'll look at them again next time I go. If some of them wear shorts
Because if the weather is hot they are cooler and less restricting around the waist and crotch.
