We are so over winter and cannot wait for Spring/Summer 2015 to hit the rails - come and chat about clothes, make up, sparkles and shoes. All styles, tastes and budgets are welcome.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping Thu 29-Jan-15 21:27:02

Thanks lib!
We're all still waiting with bated breath to find out how much Amber's charity shop Chanel was...

Fedupnagging Thu 29-Jan-15 21:30:20

santamarianovella Thu 29-Jan-15 21:32:09

But fedup yours means I get to go back in time and be 29 again yay!

Can't believe the MNv threads are almost 3 years old

santamarianovella Thu 29-Jan-15 21:33:18

And thanks lib, mwah

Fedupnagging Thu 29-Jan-15 21:38:40

Ooo, I'd love a chanel jacket. Amber you need to go back and get it for Dry.

Am supposed to be booking holiday accommodation with dh but got distracted with MNV. Better disappear before he makes a choice based solely on cost!

Fedupnagging Thu 29-Jan-15 21:39:50

grin Santa

QueenCardigan Thu 29-Jan-15 21:48:09

Oh my goodness, a new thread already!
karbea I'm going to get some testers next week for our living room. I want some kind of neutral but not sure whether I want white, taupe or grey. I'm waiting for a quote on the fireplace and wood burner and the final quote on the damp proofing and then we can see if there's enough cash for new sofas. After umming and aching about wood v carpet, we've decided to do carpet. Again some kind of neutral and I need to go and look next week.
shop oh no, will the trip possibly not happen...? All sounds v stressful.

OneLittleLady Thu 29-Jan-15 21:50:30

I can't wait for my sparkly shoes to arrive, I'm so excited.Sparkles are better than heels, right?

I am in severe pain tonight, I can tell it's going to be a long and mostly sleepless night. Pinterest here I come. On a more serious note, I'm going to ask to be referred to one of the pain clinics in London, one where they are actually doing research into my condition. Even if they can't help me, maybe I can help other people through what i can tell the doctors and show to them. 18 years now I've had this, 18 long years

libertychick Thu 29-Jan-15 22:07:23

YY to sparkly shoes One. Hope tonight isn't too long for you.

OneLittleLady Thu 29-Jan-15 22:11:58

thanks lib pinterest helps a lot surprisingly, all the pretty pictures and cute animals help distract me from the pain long enough that I can get breif snatches of being comfortable smile i'll put some good music on and browse until I get tired enough to sleep through the rest of the night

LinusDKD Thu 29-Jan-15 22:17:24

Just popping in to mark my place and give ((((hugs)))) to one

Karbea Thu 29-Jan-15 22:24:33

queen I'll be interested to hear what you choose. I'd like a new fireplace but really can't justify it at the mo, it's not a bad fireplace really.

MarshaBrady Thu 29-Jan-15 22:26:29

You're a champ Lib. Back tomorrow.

noviceoftheday Thu 29-Jan-15 22:29:34

Oh poor you One, at least you have sparkly shoes to look forwRd to. Hope tonight goes quickly.

Dh and I have agreed on the summer holiday! Weirdly, he's agreed to the luxury hotel. I found one holiday, then found another which was like 1/3rd more but was telling him as an fyi and he said "Yes let's go with that one". I don't understand. He's also agreed to fly with Thomas Cook.grin I am booking it tomorrow before he changes his mind! Now back to the long haul Easter conversation!

I am now beginning to book in work travel too.sad 5 long hauls and 2 short hauls between mid Feb and mid June. Dh also has 3 long hauls in that period. It's been 2 months of bliss not travelling!

Drywhiteplease Thu 29-Jan-15 22:32:08

Wow, just pop off to watch a couple of episodes of The Good Wife (how's it going Mara?) and a new thread shock!!!!!

Karbea I agree with The Santa . I'd wait until you've chosen more do a pin board before deciding. That or paint it cream for now. When I do a room I always start with fabrics and then work out, but that's just me, I adore furnishings.

noviceoftheday Thu 29-Jan-15 22:36:43

I meant to say I thought the copy of my ring that What found was terrific. How good it is as a copy, depends on how shiny it is. my one is quite sparkly.

Karbea Thu 29-Jan-15 22:42:48

dry yes In a perfect world we'd do that but the damp needs fixing, it looks really bad, so no real option. It's only paint so when I get new curtains etc I can paint it again.

Ujjayi Fri 30-Jan-15 00:25:10

Karbea how about a warm grey? like this . I have this shade in my house & it is a lovely neutral.

Dry if you like Adidas Stan Smiths take a look at La Redoute - they are on sale for £45 at the moment. Will link later if I can.

One hope you manage some rest tonight. Pinterest is very soothing for me too!

I've spent 2 days sketching & obviously haven't stretched enough since my neck started to spasm in my ballet class tonight confused. Holy crap it hurts! On a positive note tho' it has been a wonderful indulgence sketching Alexander McQueen gowns for inspiration...every cloud & all that!

I may have found the perfect black slouchy knit from & Other Stories. Can't wait for it to arrive!

Ujjayi Fri 30-Jan-15 00:30:20

black slouchy knit

Ujjayi Fri 30-Jan-15 00:35:59

Discount code for 50% off at La Redoute (for Dry's Adidas moment wink ) is 5920

AmberNectarine Fri 30-Jan-15 00:40:22

It was £65, which I thought was quite reasonable.

Urgh, am drunk in a cab on my way home. Need to eat something!

muddlingalongquitenicely Fri 30-Jan-15 07:04:47

DH told me last night his first work trip abroad is now for 3 weeks sad its a great opportunity for him but never been for away for so long.
We had some more snow overnight so sensible boots and warm socks for travelling nicer shoes in bag for the office.

QueenCardigan Fri 30-Jan-15 07:36:22

muddling I think you're near my parents. Hope there's not too much snow as my mum is coming down tonight.
karbea I've chosen a limestone fireplace, just really simple and plain. I won't finalise wall colours until that's in place and I know whether we can get a new sofa. I just love trying out new tester pots! I need to look at curtains too.
novice glad you've got something booked.
one hope you got some rest. I would definitely try and be seen in a specialist pain clinic.
