Ok, so i know some of you dont like them but...i do Wink
I have ordered a flowery pair and a patent pair...but i cant decide which ones to keep as i like both. So thought i would look for guidance from you lot!!
So here:
Flowery ones:www.next.co.uk/g6h4138s1#816930g6h
Patent ones:www.next.co.uk/g6h3138s3#940311g6h
Which ones?

I love my shiny plain patent DMs so I am biased and would say go plain!

Sorry those links don't work for me...
You're not ordering via the Dr Marten's website?

Anyway, I like Dr Marten's just not the flowery or patent ones....

Sorry I'm not being very helpful here am I :)

Think they are more versatile tbh. I think the patterned ones look lovely but they arent leather [canvas] and would tie me to what i could actually wear..but they are nice on!!! I tried on the patent ones and the tongue annoyed me in them. Maybe it was the laces that needed to be adjusted or because they were new and a bit stiff?

I would go plain, but I do like the flowery one.

I have some red ones, but I would also like some purple ones too.

Didn't know Next did Dr Martens.

I ordered them to try on via next but tbh would look for them cheaper elsewhere. Not from the Dr Martens website..they are much more expensive. Btw, which ones do you like then? Just the plain black ones?

i think you really need both pairs

Report
Branleuse · 29/01/2015 09:29

the patent ones will be sweaty in the summer and the canvas ones will be only ok for good weather.
You either need both pairs or a pair of normal leather ones

ha ha ha.....yeh...and tbh, if i keep the flowery pair, i will definetly order the patent cheap from somewhere later on. Maybe thats the best idea??? Strangely, i cant get that flowery design anywhere else. They are really beautfiful.

Agree with Bran.
If we all have several different styles of black shoes, why not more than one pair of Docs?

Report
Greengardenpixie · 29/01/2015 09:38

Yes, totally agree about both pairs. Think i may actually keep the patterned ones and get a pair of plain ones cheaper elsewhere. Simply because i cant find that print anywhere else. Or cheaper anywhere else.

Dr Martens have a sale on now, worth looking at. Some of the flowery "Pascal" types are reduced from £110 to £75, but as I can't access your links I can't tell which ones you like :)

Also if you go to the Dr Martens website through [[
www.topcashback.co.uk/ref/BadTemperedCat
Top CashBack]] you get 7% or so cashback, so it's worth having a look at the website. Schuh also have usually quite good prices on DMs, also worth a look.

As for myself I like the classic DM in plain black yes, also the Lauren, the Aimilita and the Triumph 1914. I live in my DMs :)

I love DM's - wear them most days but I would NEVER wear flowery ones, so my vote is for patent.

Is it these that you like on the Next website pixie? If so then I prefer the ones from Ebay.

I didn't even know you could get DMs from Next!
