Has anyone had plastic surgery (especially tummy tuck) in the Newcastle area?

I'm looking into mini abdominoplasty at the moment, after two kids and a three stone weight loss my lower belly is destroyed. The thing is I don't know any of the surgeons. Having worked in healthcare myself previously I know how important it is to choose the right consultant and was just wondering if anyone has had any experiences of the plastic surgeons based in or around Newcastle upon Tyne?

Hi I hope you find someone who can help and absolutely don't want to dismiss your concerns about your tummy (three big babies, my tummy is unrecognisable to the way it was before!) but have you tried tracy anderson's post pregnancy workout? I was seriously considering a tummy tuck too, did a few months of this DVD and while I still have skin that's lost elasticity, I am a million times happier and no longer thinking about surgery. For me, the scars would have been as bad as the loose skin. It is a very very difficult exercise programme but it works. Perhaps not as much as she says it will - she talks about skin being drawn back towards the muscle - but like i said, I'm much happier. My tummy has a much better shape, my waist is as small as it was before babies and the loose skin is better. And I think the dvd's less than a tenner on amazon! HTH

Hi Ollie, thank you for that! I very briefly spent some time in plastics at the RVI as a student and Dr O'Donaghue was the only name that I remembered, although I couldn't particularly remember why (it was a good few years ago!)

Apple, don't worry, I understand where you're coming from! I've been a pretty intense gym bunny for the past nine months (not like the old me at all!) and it's not changed. It's very very soft theirs a fair bit of excess skin unfortunately!

Hi everyone, I lost weight and had problem with lower belly too. I tried special exercise etc. But nothing could help me. Plastic surgery was only solution. Sarah, friend of mine, told me to find plastic surgeon abroad because of my budget requirements. I found Prague as the best possibbility because husband’s brother live there. I visited few clinics and finally choose Forme clinic. I am looking forward to seeing results. Do you have any advice for me?

I don't have the experience directly with Newcastle, but I had a tummy tuck. After my first pregnancy, my stomach muscles were compleley stretched out and it was impossible for return them to normal, even with excessive, disciplined working out. A friend suggested i get a tummy tuck and it was exactly what i needed. I have no loose skin and my stomach looks great. I was recommended the clinic in the Czech Republic, and it was a good choice. I especially appreciate the ability to email and phone consultation. This is definitely the option for anyone who feels they couldn't get back their body after have a kid!
