Firstly apologises for the rubbish photos (could never be a celeb. I Can't do selfies!!)

Going to a church wedding at end of month and DH is best man. I found this dress and loved it and have been trying to get the rest right (on a budget)

So first - nude or navy tights? (Are my legs good enough to carry off nudes?)
What do you think of the shoes, do they go? (They were a sale bargin and have matching bag)
Does the furry wrap thing 'go'? Will it be warm enough? (Got off eBay)

Do I need hold it in underwear? If so, any recommendations that look nice too (as have hotel stay with no kids Wink )

All thoughts and suggestions welcome

I like the dress - you look lovely.

IMO, definitely nude tights. I don't think you need support underwear and I'm not sure any exist that look nice!

I'm not so sure about the wrap, although it's hard to see from the photos, sorry!

Lovely dress - it really suits you and you certainly don't need spanx! And yes your legs are absolutely able to carry off nudes. Smile Don't think you should wear navy tights with the shoes.

Ok, I'm not 100% convinced by the fur wrap - it could be the photo but to me the wrap looks a different shade to the white/ivory of the dress, and that would bother me (but that's me being pedantic, and it could be the light).

Shoes - court style pumps work well, personally I wouldn't wear white in January but I am old and dull That said, if you feel comfortable then go for it. What comes across from your post is how much you love the dress, and that confidence will shine through. Enjoy the day!

Another vote for nude tights and to ditch the fur thing.

You look lovely!

Thank you all. The shoes are sort of beighy. I Was looking for navy but when I came across the shoes bag combo in sales, that was what I went for. Do you think navy would work better (as I'm going for nude tights?)

I know what you mean about the fur thing, it was a eBay bargin and thought was worth a risk. So I will need to be warm in church - any suggestions? What if I attempted to dye fur thingy navy?

I am a little in love with the dress Grin

Another question!

To improve look of legs with nudes, have been exfoliating, would you also fake tan to make them more uni coloured (my knee are darker then the rest of my legs and a few scares/imperfections/bruises ) or does 'leg make up' exist?

The dress is lovely and looks great on you, but it is quite summey. I'd try and make it a bit more 'seasonal' if possible.

You'll be freezing in the fur wrap. Keep looking - there are loads of winter things in the sale.

The shoes aren't quite right with the dress, IMO, especially for January.

Could you put something cosy like this over the top? A furry jacket perhaps?

I'm Useless at fashion so excuse the dim question! So a sort of wooly/fluffy jumper?

I like the dress, the nudes work for me, I think it would look better with navy heels.

You will freeze in that furry thing, you will need a coat.

I think that's nice. The fur stole might work with it .

I've just brought this online and see what It's like.

So if I ditch the shoes, do I need to ditch the handbag?

And if I do ditch the shoes, I'm guessing go with Navy?

What about silver shoes?

They do make up for legs m.boots.com/h5/cat_hub?unCountry=uk&path=/en/Sally-Hansen-Airbrush-Legs-Tan-Glow-75ml_1154646/ obv you would still need nude tights over the top for winter.
I think you need to go for navy shoes with a mid height heel. The bolero cardigan might be good if it's the same shade of navy as the dress.

Shoe search continues, finding it difficult to find anything online that looks the right navy. Might be able to get into town next week.

Hoping cardi goes, but will go with other things so not the end of the world if doesn't!

Personally I'd avoid navy shoes, they might make a pretty dress look dull and officey!
I have a navy dress for weddings this year, I'm going for a cardi the same shape as yours in fluffy cream angora (£4 on ebay) and rose gold shoes and bag.
I think your dress would also look amazing with a bright pop of colour so eg red shoes or coral. If the cardi you've got turns out not to match, you could find a cardi or fitted blazer also in the bright colour

For a wedding I'd go with pink or red shoes with that dress.
And matching accessories
You could even try lime green or yellow shoes and accessories.

I do have some lush red shoes. Will try it on with them, then just need accessories (my daily coat is red so I could then wear this is church, bit like pic, but longer and floaty from waist down) and maybe something red in hair?

ooh I really like the idea of the red shoes and jacket, and something red in your hair would be nice. Maybe a small clip/feathers/flower (but nothing too ostentatious)
