What shoes do you wear with jeans other than boots?

I usually wear uggs with skinny jeans but I'm getting bored. Plus it's been so mild recently my feet have been too hot!

I also have a pair of knee high black leather boots but I only wear them with dresses or leggings, I don't really like the long boots with jeans look. I have converse too but I want some slightly smarter shoes.

I've got ballet pumps but too cold to wear without socks/tights! I suppose I'm looking for a shoe you can wear with socks. Maybe I'll look at brogues.

usually - converse or kg converse type leather sneakers (I have some tan, last pair were a kind of burnished bronze, not smart but not as scruffy as my converse)

today, light grey brogues with v dark denim (shouldn't work but does somehow) tan would be ok too

for going out heeled ankle boots (mine are damson suede) with slight artful turn up

I don't like black with denim (clothes or shoes)

Black denim might be ok with black shoes. Not sure. But I'd still more likely wear tan, grey, white or red. Or any other colour.

Ballet pumps, boat shoes, desert wedges from Clarks, chelsea boots... I know you've said your feet get cold, but perhaps you could consider [deep breath] pop socks? Widens your horizons in the cooler months and no-one will know if you get decent quality ones. Although saying that I have been in the pre-shag position of having to dash to the loo to remove them before the jeans come off

I discovered nude pops socks last year and have never looked back! I wear skinny jeans rolled up to just above the ankle with new balance trainers, sounds weird but looks ok Here

Got some nice patent loafers in the sales too.

Thanks, I was looking for something a bit smarter than trainer type shoes. I already have Converse so will have a look at loafers or brogues. I had some lovely wedge ankle boots from White Stuff a few years ago so maybe that's somewhere to look.
