I've been shopping away since 27 December to get bargains in the sales. The standard of customer service and time to deliver has ben very variable though. Special thanks to:

Brora - Delivered at 9.23 am this morning, ordered 10pm 6 January, standard delivery. They were very polite to me when I rang up and asked what time the sale started on the internet.

Toast - 2 days to deliver, lovely box.

Jigsaw - sent grovelling email saying delivery would be delayed then delivered in 3 days anyway.

Dreadful:

Cos - took 11 days to deliver, no communication at all. The print on the web site is so pale it is difficult to read. I really thought my stuff had gone missing.

My Cos stuff took forever as well (ordered 23rd Dec, arrived Monday this week) but got their shipment confirmation the next day. The delay was with the courier firm in Hamburg, went into hiatus over the holidays basically. I usually find Cos stuff arrives within the week, even from Germany.

Agree their website leaves something to be desired though (don't get me started on the styling...!)

Hush, Zara and Atterley Road have all been very good on sales delivery over the holidays.

Toast were absolutely amazing the first time i ordered. Next day delivery. Felt as if i had just ordered it and there it was in the morning ready to wear!!!!
Then i ordered something this week..2 days but still good :)
White stuff took a while....about a week on their standard delivery. Took an age to say shipped.
I have to say i usually pay the extra for express delivery cause i really cba waiting forever for something and like to know when it will come.
Seasalt...fantastic too...next day delivery but just standard cost.
House of fraser...again, really quick.

Oasis - amazing. Used seek and send, everything wrapped in tissue paper and arrived two days later.

Burton - slower than quoted, not packaged very well, it looked as though they just stuffed everything in the bag, whether it would fit or not.

Paperchase- still waiting! Very slow.

John Lewis am- very fast delivery and well packaged as always.

Debenhams - slower than quoted.

Asos - arrived a few days later than the stated delivery date, but this always happens. Customer service dire.

Dorothy Perkins - slow delivery and rubbish customer service. Poor quality items, they all went back. They've gone downhill lately, wouldn't be surprised if they were in trouble.

John Lewis, excellent as always. Fat Face, still waiting for an order to be shipped to store. Ordered on Christmas day, account debited Christmas day, no sign of order. Rubbish.

Shopbop, brilliant. Less than a week over Christmas from the USA.

Boden 2 days standard delivery on 2 occasions, very pleased.
John Lewis - 1 day to Waitrose store.
M&S - 1 or 2 days to store
Clarks - 3 days
Dorothy Perkins - 5 days std delivery - everything went back.
Next sale quoted about a month just to collect sale stuff in store so I didn't bother, some stuff had waits of up to 10 weeks.

Mint velvet. Dispatched within hours. Delivery within 2 days. Nicely presented package. Happy customer.

Shopbop are brilliant, incredibly fast even though they're coming from the US. Toast usually good too.

Cos can be pretty slow and they're really slow processing returns. Gap have got pretty bad as well for returns, though delivery still reasonably prompt.

littleG69 thats a long time to wait...i think i would be emailing fatface.

green I did. Response was 'it can take 4-6 days to arrive at the store once its left the warehouse'. Presumably they use an asthmatic carrier pigeon to deliver them. Would never use again, especially as they were quick to take my money Angry

Gap astonished me. Ordered 22 December, free delivery but 3-5 business days, it wasn't at all urgent so quite happy to wait till after Christmas. Arrived next day.

House of Fraser - 2 days but no thanks to Yodel and their bizarre delivery system. Unfortunately I have had to send it all back as none of it fitted!
