Does anyone have one and if so does it work?
I love doing my nails but don't have time to change them all the time when they peel/chip etc which inevitably happens as I use my hands all day for opening things etc

I have the sensationail one from Boots and I have as much success with it as I do from salon shellac ie it doesn't last that long on me - less than a week. As I do it myself I don't feel as bad as I've not wasted £30 a time. Boots usually have kits on offer just before Christmas that contain everything you need to start you off.

I have the sensationail one to, and love it. Normal nail varnish lasts a day on me but this lasts about 10 days, its not that tricky to use either. I know I sound like an advert, but it really was a good buy (I did buy it when it was offer at £55 instead of £110 though).

I think the kits are great. Nails last 10-14 days. Application is straightforward.

Thanks - the sensationail one is the one I was looking at.
I would love to get my nails done properly but I would be too nervous as I've never done hair/nails/makeup (and makeup is a whole other story!) snd don't know the etiquette or anything of getting grooming stuff done

I'll be taking my unchipped reindeer nails off tomorrow. They were sensational and done on Dec 17th, apart from the regrowth they're fine. Just seems a bit much to return to work with them.

I also have the sensationail kit and I love it! It's absolutely amazing.

I got the starter French SensatioNail on special offer and find it absolutely I brilliant.
Nails didn't chip or lift, and regrowth isn't too noticeable as I only used the pink colour (didn't bother with the whites) I got the light colour initially as I wasn't very confident about doing my right hand, but it was fine.

I got a bottle of acetone nail varnish remover from boots for 2£ instead of the SensatioNail one, but got the removal tool.

Get some burtbees lemon cuticle cream for use every night on the cuticle and regrowth- it's made my cuticles / hands look amazing as well.

I got a kit from amazon for xmas. light is Mylee and polishes are bluesky. came with everything you need. finding it lasts really well and will help me be so much more groomed... If I can avoid the temptation to peel them off Blush

I've got the Sensationail one too but I think I must be doing something wrong, they just don't dry fully and when I do the last wipe of them lots of colour comes off and makes the varnish all dull? I put pretty thin coats on too Confused

I have the elegant touch set but use Gellux polish instead. I love it, it lasts about 7/8 days on me and looks great.

To the poster, are you curing it long enough? I'm not sure how long the sensationail needs but that would be my first thought. Also, are you dehydrating the nail enough before you apply the base coat? Your nail plate needs to be very clean and dry before you start.

I love the sensationail kit too! Good colours, nice finish that lasts over a week.

Only thing i don't like is the removal, much easier in a salon!!

i have the red carpet set which is really good, though you have to be careful when applying, i got a nail infection from it, was a bit slapdash

it does ruin your nails too if you don't remove it properly, which is a complete faff.

applied it again after a few months break and it did make my fingers itch!
