i really liked the pink-red patterned coat Mrs Brown was weraing in Paddington bear - it would really suit me! it looks like Boden, but there is nothing similar on their website at the moment. I generally liked her quirky clothes - probably all custom-made for the film!

I would really like their house.

Mrs Brown reminded me of how I used to dress in the late 80s/early 90s!

Bit less colourful now, though do still like a nice bit of well cut wool.

Yes! I was mentally redesigning their house the whole way through the film.

The house was gorgeous!

Thanks AWimbaway for the links, it definitely gave me some ideas! I really loved the house too! Sadly a house like this is completely out of reach so I must be happy just with a coat.

CJBK, I also loved almost everything Mrs Brown wore! It's such a lovely quirky style!

Just back from seeing the film and started looking for ideas on how to look a bit more Mrs. Brown! She looked great and that house - just loved the tree going up the stairs.

Loved the interior design of the house especially the spiral staircase and the boys bedroom.

Yes their house was lovely running and no I'd never be able to afford it even if I saved every penny I earn , never mind eh? the tree is do-able tho I suppose on normal stairs
I also liked how Alex Kingston dressed in marchlands few years ago

That gorgeous funnel neck sweater (grey-the yellow one is Gap) is keeping me awake googling.

I have the 3/4 length red cable sweater she wore (never would have thought of teaming with a pussy cat bow blouse).

I may have repeated this once or 20 times to my 7 yr dd. She wasn't so impressed.

The wardrobe was perfect. I kept thinking "I wonder if that's a MNetters house" you all live like that in my head Grin .

I would say her style is very Avoca or Anthropologie.

TheRollingCrone - where is the red cable jumper from?
