£100 to spend on myself for the first time in ages!

It is my birthday on friday and I am getting £100 off my mum to go shopping. Money has, and will continue to be, really tight so this is a mega treat!

What would you get? I want to feel like I have got loads of stuff, but not primark crap stuff either. Am thinking 5 items at £20 each that have been reduced down?

I am a size 14, humongous boobs, and am 5ft 2 with pale grey skin and a short blonde nothingy hair bob. I would love something classic, elegant and that will transform me from knackered single mother into fabulous 34 (!!!) year old!

What shops would you all recommend? Is there any item in particular you think I should get?

I am sooo excited by this!

New bras and knickers! Try department stores like John Lewis.

Fab pair of jeans that will make you feel amazing!

this is my pinterest board of things I like, but they fit on my imaginary body rather than my real life flubbery one (also, realise that link outs me but I don't mind) What would you prioritise out of those things do you think?

Oooh I hadn't thought of undies - really good call! I do think a pair of jeans would be good as the basis of some outfits, but I am crap at choosing them. mine are all primarni / matalan and sag in all the wrong places!

Can't see it as I don't have the latest iOS on my ipad but I would start with good undies as that will help make anything you wear fit better

I would then maybe set aside something like £50 for jeans and see what you can get in the sales. www.asos.com/Women/Sale/Jeans/Cat/pgecategory.aspx?cid=4331&CTARef=shop|sale|cat|jeans might be worth a browse

Not sure how this would look on biggish boobs but 'tis nice! You can order free into store to try on and just get a refund there and then if you don't like it. It is forty quid but that's half price and you'd still have sixty left :) I think the light pink would be nice on a blonde, more like a tunic on you at 5ft2, great with leggings or jeans with boots:

I'd get one thing that makes you feel really special and spend what's left on basics you know you need and will use. M&S had some good sale bras online.
Hope you have fun and find stuff you love! :) You have a nice mum!

I'd go for a good pair of jeans and a couple of good tops / dresses. You should be able to get really good quality ones for around £20 in the sales.
Or a good pair of jeans & a winter coat in the sales.

Tk Maxx is worth checking out if you have a branch near you. It's also online. www.tkmaxx.com/women/jeans/icat/0606

oooh thank you, will have a little look at those links now. I have to be in the mood for tk maxx but will put my game face on and get stuck in to them on friday. So, jeans and new undies. Anything else do you think or have I just blown my budget already Grin this spending malarkie is so easy!

Agree with bras & pants! I am big of boobage & like the Debenhams gorgeous range of t-shirt bras - make sure you get fitted properly ( and not at M&S).

I'm a convert to m&s jeans, they are high waisted & really flattering if you have a pot belly

Would you consider a good haircut?

Lotsofcheese: My M&S bras fit great. Have you had a problem with being fitted? I've not tried Debenhams.

A cool blazer. I love mine, they go with jeans and dresses and work and make me feel groomed immediately .

Leo: M&S are notoriously bad at bra fitting; measuring you over your existing bra/clothing , so you usually end up in the wrong size. Debenhams, Fraser''s & Bravissimo all measure & fit properly,

OP: we haven't talked handbags yet! Again, TK Maxx have some lovely leather bags eg Osprey, Paul Costello etc. Might take a chunk out your budget through!

You have great taste - your board is fab. I'd echo jeans and maybe a blazer. With a plaid shirt or something - 3 items that you could mix and match with cheap t's and big sunnies Grin enjoy yourself!

From looking at your pinterest board, 5 things you could try to get in the sales for £100 could be:
Felt hat - try asos
Plaid/check shirt - H&M?
Cable jumper (perhaps v neck best with big boobs) - H&M, mango?
Statement necklace - everywhere will have loads
Jeans - asos own brand are good, also river island

And finally, I agree on a great new fitted bra if possible :)

Have fun!
