Stylish looks for a leg in a cast

Hello. With wonderful timing, I have broken my ankle just in time for Christmas. I'm going to be in an up to the knee cast for at least six weeks and, apart from tracksuit bottoms, have no idea what to wear. Typically, I updated my wardrobe this winter after spending the last three winters pregnant or immediately post-natal. Unfortunately, skinny jeans and a sparkly skirt (that looks lovely with my new heels...), don't really work with a big cast.

Does anyone have any ideas of what I could wear that would make me feel a little bit smart and glam for Christmas and would fit over the cast? I've seen a long skirt in Hush (I'm afraid I haven't worked out links on the phone), which I thought might work, but I'd also like one or two pairs of trousers. I don't want to spend a lot of money, but I do want something that is a bit more substantial than fine Jersey (which just isn't very forgiving on my bottom...).

I'm 5'4 and a size 12 (ish...). I've got hips and quite a sticky out bottom that looks fine in jeans and pencil skirts, but isn't flattered at all by wide leg trousers.

I would be very grateful for any ideas! Tracksuit bottoms are all very well, but I was really enjoying dressing a bit more like the person I was pre-children.
