About a month ago an enormous under the skin spot (or "the whelk" as DP calls it) appeared on my chin. It never came to a head so I couldn't give it a squeeze (sorry!) So I have tried various spot lotions, toothpaste, sudocreme, savlon etc but the whelk is still there. And now I have another on my cheek, again no head but bloody enormous. For the first time in 8 years we are going out for NYE to a posh hotel and I'd rather not bring along any extra guests. Has anyone got any miracle solutions/potions etc to try? Tia x

Best thing I've found is www.origins.co.uk/product/6342/18374/Skincare/Concern/Blemish-Oil-Control/Super-Spot-Remover/Blemish-treatment-gel/index.tmpl It's not cheap but it does seem to work on stubborn spots.

I second nelson - I got the Origins gel to test as part of something I was helping out with and it's fantastic. I occasionally get similar spots to the ones you describe and it's the only thing that works - it seems to draw them out and dry them up very quickly. It smells a bit medicinal and the smell kind of lingers a bit, but I think it's worth it!

Hey, use cotton bud or something to dub listerine on. The alcohol will make it dry first. Let me know how it goes.

Thanks all! I'll order some of the origins now and use some listerine in the mean time!

I have never come across either of those suggestions before so thanks again x
