If you had £100 to spend in Selfridges...

...what would you buy?

I could very easily piss it up the wall in the beauty hall but I'd quite like to buy a nice item of clothing because after Christmas I'm going back to work from mat leave.

I'm 5'7ish and a size 10-12, bit wobbly round the middle after having DS2. I work in quite a casual office (I normally wear jeans and a naice top, or an unstructured dress).

No idea where to start so any thoughts from you stylish lot would be very welcome.

Nope. I'd definitely piss it up the wall in the beauty hall. I may look at the shoes first though

I'd go straight to the jeans department.

Selfridges staff there are great. They can tell you after one glance which jeans would be perfect for you, whatever size and shape you are.

Bargain. You cannot beat the perfect pair of jeans. Lasts longer than a lipstick too.

Nothing prior to the sales...

Then jeans if that's office wear for you. I have bought j brands for £50 in the selfridges sale second round of reductions.

If you do fancy premium beauty there are often good (50%) off reductions on Xmas gift packs

Once got a £1000 Alessandro dell'Acqua pinstripe trouser suit for £100 in Selfridges sale, so would definitely wait for sale. A little fastening on the waistband had come loose, took literally 30 seconds to fix (loop the two bits back together, didn't even need a needle and thread).
