These boots : will they go with everything like I am telling myself they will?

So I'm swooning over these boots:

www.schuh.co.uk/womens/ugg-australia-grandle-brown-boots/1482336020/

I have tried then on with jeans (look good) and dress (looks good too) and I'm almost sold on them but just wondered if you think they are a bit limited to certain looks I.E jeans or boho dress.

I mean, they wouldn't look good with a smart dress would they? But then at the same time I don't wear smart dresses very often....

Just don't want to waste my money and find I hardly ever wear them.
Confused

You will wear them loads.

But they will not go with any dainty outfits.

They deffo wouldn't work with a smart dress. But they would be okay with tea dresses, flippy mini skirts etc, in a Land Girl sort of way. Think Keira Knightley in, 'The Edge of Love.'

I think they are a bit meh, sorry. Or rather I don't think they justify the price tag as they are very similar to lots of other cheaper options.

Sorry, you didn't ask that. If you think they go with lots of your wardrobe then get them. Flats get a lot of wear in my house!

I have had a similar pair for about 10 years and they are still going strong. Very cosy.

I've tried them, too and they're lovely. They'd go with most things I wear... Sadly just like my other five pairs of winter boots do so I simply couldn't justify buying them.
They're great boots, buy them!

I love a chunky boot and my A/W 'uniform' is pretty dress + boots.

But those boots are hideous. They look like men's work boots and will detract from any nice outfit.

Also remember they're Uggs and eBay is your friend if you really do find you don't wear them. Which I doubt if you wear jeans...

I think they're a bit short on the leg which could make them look a bit like rigger boots. I got something fairly similar from outlet village. Cat ones and 35 quid.

Ugg Kensington are nice.

I have the v similar ugg noiras and they get a lot of wear. They almost go with everything apart from work or formal occasion outfits. Get them. You won't regret it. I practically live in mine from oct-March

Not my bag. No!

the Noira are nice as are the kensington (though can only find lotsof the kids ones for some reason)

holy what are your chunky boots like?

the deciding factor for me as well is I have to walk from the bus stop to the office and this is a 15 minute walk so I do need something suitable for that as well as (hopefully) looking good (I live in edinburgh)

Also the uggs I've linked too are not tight on my leg like on the schuh website picture, so I think they look nicer on me than on the woman in the picture.

You'll wear them loads but only with casual clothes. They're not office wear.

I got a very similar pair from Duo Boots last year. I love them. I agree they don't work with formal wear, however I wear mine when travellling to/from work in the winter, as when I'm wearing a big winter coat my formal outfit is covered up, so it all works quite well.

Well I'm work in a casual office so not too worried about the formal wear thing it's more if they look silly with my casual floral dresses and skinny jean/oversized jumper look then I really should not bother buying.
I'm thinking probs won't go with knee length full skirts at all and I always imagine one day owning lots of these skirts and being like taylor swift. lol.

They did look excellent with my short coat petal maybe I need to try them on without it so I can really tell.

I have a similar pair of frye boots. I loved them and hoped I'd wear them and I have!

I've worn them with dresses as well as jeans and they've been perfect- also good in the wet.

Thanks stupidflanders :)
Will have a look at Freye boots too, which ones do you have? I have also just received a 15% off discount code so makes them 136! That is alot more reasonable IMO. ;)

I really like them. I'd wear them with dresses too, but with shorter/casual ones. Though I do wear boots like that with smart dresses for walking too and from work.

How are you going to wear them with jeans - jeans in, out, rolled?

Scarlett I am leaning towards getting them at least an trying them on at home so see if theyre actually as versatile as I think they are. I'm lucky to work in a casual envirmnment but still like to look stylish and fashionable, if possible ;)

dexter thanks for th tip have enrolled for a reward card! :)

poly In the shop I just tucked in but I think rolled would look ok too?

If anyone has any alternatives I'd definaely be interested in looking? Don't want to impuse buy as this is my christmas money gone!

I have those boots! I actually get loads of wear out of them - they are insanely comfortable, really warm (FLUFFY LINING), and actually look pretty good for a chunky boot. I wear them with tights and short skirts/dresses

leedy have bought them today. Tried them on in the shop again (they must be getting fed up of me...) and decided take them home and try them with my other stuff. One things for sure, they don't do with my full skirted wool coat which I do wear an awful lot. Have lots of other coats though. :)
