Faux fur coat??

Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced faux fur coat?? I would ideally like something with long sleeves, with or without a collar, uniform fur all over (i.e. no fabric embellishments etc - all fur) and maybe hip or bum length (nothing cropped). I can't go shopping to see one in real life so just wondered if anybody has seen one that feels nice and is heavy and warmish... TIA Smile

I want this one - it's lovely and soft in the flesh.

I second the Tesco one. I have it and love it. Lots of compliments and then disbelief when I say where I purchased.

Many thanks for the suggestions. I have a bit of a 'thing' about leopard print - for some reason I just don't like it, although the shape of both of those coats is exactly what I was after, if only they'd had them in another colour!

I have just ordered this so keeping fingers crossed it's nice in real life - what do you think?? I want it for over evening outfits mostly.

Mmm not keen on the one you ordered. M&S are doing a ridiculously thick silvery white one. I have and love the Warehouse dark grey one. Zara are doing some. Just check the fur is modacrylic. Diff between plush and cheap.

The Tesco one just says polyester, but it is very soft irl.

There's a lovely cream one on Zara but I would be too scared of spillages. I would ideally have liked black but I liked the brown one, is it really that bad? Sad

Have you seen this one from French Connection? I just bought it having seen it here - you can remove the fur, clever!

I like the one you've ordered :)

I'm sorry to say it, but I think the one you have bought looks a bit moth eaten! I think the Warehouse jacket is one of the nicest.

Moth-eaten?? Shock

That French Connection one is a bit strange, it looks as though the model is wearing a jacket over a furry dress.

Emsyj - I have seen the Gharani Strok one you have ordered IRL. It is lovely & feels very plush. I can't abide anything that looks like a cheap teddybear.

Here's a faux fur expert telling us what to look for here

I'd rather the teddy bear look than something that looks like real fur tbh, I think it's more modern.

Thanks Ujayyi - I really like the look of it, and I am not too worried about looking 'modern' as I am old and unstylish anyway!

I prefer the teddy bear look too.

Wondering if I've got time to nip to Tesco before picking DD up from nursery now Hmm Grin

Not a fan of the teddy bear look myself.

The one you ordered is lovely, the rich colour looks so warm and inviting.

I don't mean Teddy Bear like the modern, almost curly/boucle teddy bear coats...I mean the kind of faux fur which is short pile & cheap looking rather than resembling real fur...Not entirely sure that this clarifies my position!

Susie So So featured a similar one to the Gharani Strok one recently but annoyingly it isn't available online:

I tried it on in store today and it's gorgeous. £50 though.
