Camel Toe and Whine is just brilliant. Thanks, MrsS.

Mrs S - I think you have missed your path in life and should be writing comedy - brilliant thread titleSmile .

Addle - I am the one with the orange parfait recipe - which reminds me I'd better get making it. I'll dig it out.

DD1 is back full of exciting stories and looking healthy and well fed. She says she really enjoys cooking - I'm going to get her on it over Christmas. She is now asleep and will be full of reproach as DH woke up at 6am this morning to catch a train, thus disturbing the whole household.

I love the title, too.

Yes, please, Hatty, orange parfait recipe sounds like something that we would like.

Just about to drag myself out of bed before GC arrive.

Love the title Smile. What I want for Christmas is working internet. And a nice new scarf which I have bought for dh to give me.

HM that's lovely about dd. Mine returns on Friday but only briefly. Cant wait. Shea more than ready. Hand holding Crem.

If I ever get internet back shall icollect lovely crepey recipes in one doc?

Monty hope your dc feeling better. And MI good news on lecturing.

On phone so cant see much.

I've never been couth in my life and I'm not going to start now.

Le resto de fab.

Must purchase more Christmas presents including those for Inferiorettes. And indeed their father. He has, allegedly, made a List. Presumably of obscure yet faintly expensive things.

Got a minute to myself as GC haven't arrived yet - they were still sleeping after a disturbed night, so their DDad will bring them in a bit.

I hope the DC don't take too long to recover, Monty - it's miserable being unwell at Christmas.

Hatty, how great that DD likes cooking. My DD bakes a lot but her DH is the one who cooks.

Is there anyone with small hands who would like a pair of unworn red leather gloves? I can give them to the charity shop but thought I would ask here first. They're from Fenwick's and were a gift - marked medium but neither I nor DD can get them on. I will happily post to whoever wants them.

Off out for a Christmas lunch later.

Ooh, Lalsy, good idea. And I have recipes from my mum I've promised and never circulated, too...

Report

NU, I would kiss your ankles for those gloves. Or not, of course, if you prefer Wink.

Report
NUFC69 · 09/12/2014 08:56

MI, I was thinking about you tbh as I know that you're vertically challenged. Grin PM or email me your address and I will post them off (and, no, you can leave my ankles alone).

What a legendary title Grin

My camel's toe is well and truly hidden under this which I bought a couple of weeks ago and have only just got brave enough to actually remove the label and keep it. It is somewhat figure hugging on me unlike the model and needs leggings and knee boots to prevent it from being entirely indecent.

Lovely to hear about returning uni DC's. hatty and soon to be Lalsy and what about cremo and others?

Monty what a drag…I do hope they get better soon…at least it'll be over before xmas hopefully. In the meantime strength and calpol/nurofen to you all.

I am propping my eyelids open with twigs…up at 3.30am to see DS2 off on a solemn, but life changing (I gather) school journey to Poland. Does this seeing them off on these monumental trips ever get any easier? I eventually dropped off to sleep again at about 6am for a bit, dreaming of striped pyjamas and death camps. Why do the worst dreams always seem to happen just before dawn? I'm tracking his flight obsessively of course…over Brandenburg as I type.

I feel surreal today…DSs trip, DD home on authorised leave to do a matinee, have just had my January course cancelled, so no teaching work for ages (and consequently, no money) and DH and are have an ongoing feud as he has sprung his boss's Xmas party on an evening when I was meant to be going out this week. (Note, I am not invited) Harumph Angry

NU - DD has small hands and otherwise could surely find a taker amongst her friends. If it's not to expensive to post to her college - I'm sure red leather gloves would be gratefully received.Smile

I love that prancercise video, am in awe at her complete lack of self-consciousness.

Fabulous thread title, has just made me snort my coffee over the keyboard. I am wearing tights today (unusual as I am normally in trousers 24/7) but thankfully no camel toe as they are snugly fleece-lined ones. They are super marvellous and when I put them on I pretty much decided not to take them off until April.

Glad the meet up was fun on Fri - I thought of you all during my ridiculous week, but was right not to go as I got up on Saturday with burning tired eyelids and had to stagger through the rest of the day until I could get into bed again. Thankfully felt better on Sunday and had nice lunch with friends - I made an excellent mincemeat bakwell tart and a huge bread and butter pudding and thought there would be loads of leftovers, but there were hardly any! It's clearly carb-loading time of year. DS1 ate most of the B&B pudding and then had the cheek to say he was hungry an hour later.

Lalsy, would love a compilation of crepey recipes, great idea. I particularly want to ask for the potato salad recipe that someone suggested aaaages ago - I think it was QQ. It had gherkins in it and sounded lush.

Herbs - I have a laminator, it's very satisfying and has come in handy for kids school projects. I imagine it would be great for teacher stuff.

Lalsy a Creepy cookbook would be fab!

Will watch the video when at my PC on the bus ATM!

Cremo, I went back at the end of my first term with my hair shaved at the sides, spike on top and long inverted cut at back (my friend and I did each others!) though not green. A boy pointed at me in my parochial suburbia and told his mum I was a punk. I was wearing an old granny coat and long lace - up boots at the timeGrin
It will be lovely to have her home whatever she looks like!
