Oooh, I'm still smarting from being told 'I thought you were from the country judging by your coat' ShockBlush. To be fair, my coat wasn't that bad ... it was an Aigle waterproof jacket, yeah but it was blooming freezing. Anyway, I have been on the lookout for something a bit smarter so am turning to you wonderfully stylish lot for inspiration!

I want navy, would prefer bum-covering but have only managed to come up with these two options and neither are really bum-covering. Knee length is too long.

Hobbs
Tommy Hilfiger

There is a Hobbs, navy wool coat this which is just lovely but it's out of stock everywhere in my size and would be a separate buy as it wouldn't be an everyday coat.

So who can smarten me up a bit Grin?

Thanks!

This joules one? They seem to have plenty of navy.

Thank you ... don't mind that but not certain. Just returned a short puffer to Joules because the collar was too bulky.

I think it's hard to get 'smart' with puffer jacket look, unless you go for one of the very expensive North Face ones, although I'm not sure they do navy.

My friend's North Face long down jacket is into its tenth year of wear and still looks great.

Christina ... avoiding puffer jackets what would look smart whilst not being a wool coat? By smart, I guess I mean somewhat smarter than a Barbour, for example but, for me, wool is for dressier or work wear. Other suggestions are more than welcome! Smile

No help at all but I have the Joules one in navy and black!

I love it and it looks fab with dresses, skirts, boots etc. It's a fit and flare style so is semi dressy. It's not a typical puffa coat as it's quite thin, not bulky but yet v warm, not sure how but it is!

Um, North Face as I suggested. Only my opinion that puffer jackets are hard to look 'smart' in. I've noticed quite a lot of women in London wearing the North Face ones and they're as good as it's going to get, I'd say.

Jack Wolfskin Iceguard. I got one earlier in the year and I love it.

Would be a bit much for all but very cold weather though I suspect.
