Hint of patchouli perfume.....any such thing?

Just that really....I love the smell of patchouli (reminds me of my youth!) but I'd like to find a perfume that's reminiscent of it, without being too overpowering....a kind of 'grown up' version, I suppose. Does anyone know if such a thing exists, please? TIA smile

I think Miss Dior might have Patchoulli in it. I love that perfume!

Tom Ford "White Patchouli" - reminds me of my youth too! And doesn't leave nasty patchouli oil stains all over me (also my youth!)

I've got the Tom Ford one from perfume parlour IIRCon ebay.. very cheap in a retro roll-on. I think it's pretty good but not too familiar with the original, must admit!

Prada has a patchouli perfume. It is quite strong, but the patchouli in it isn't overpowering.
Also think the lady gaga black perfume (think it might be called Fame, but it's the one that looks like black liquid) is a bit more subtle. It's quite cheap too.

Yes, that's the one I got from perfume parlour, Tom Ford white patchouli- smells just like the real one but in a little roll on oil bottle.

Karma by Lush smells of patchouli and orange to me and, while it's quite potent, you can tone it down by using just the one spritz. I get lots of compliments on it when I wear it.

Le Labo Patchouli 24 is gorgeous.

Boots do patchouli perfume. They do a range in gorgeous glass bottles. I think they're about £15 each.

neals yard have a perfume with patchouli and frankincense it smells wonderful and is less patchouli-y than the lush one .... it is all a matter of personal preference. hope you find what you like.

For me, Coromandel from Chanel is the ultimate refined patchouli. It's a fantastic winter perfume.

I second the Neals Yard perfume number 1, Frankincense. I sat next to someone in a cinema with it on and had to ask what it was as it was so lovely.

Le Labo patchouli 24 is absolutely gorgeous, but would might fail the "overpowering" test. It's a wonderful, intense, heady and slightly smoky scent and lasts really well on the skin (well, mine at least). £££

Lush do a gorgeous patchouli perfume, which I am sadly unable to buy as Mr B hates the smell of it. sad

I wear Gucci by Gucci and one of the base notes is patchouli.

mrsladyman Wed 03-Dec-14 21:21:49

Another vote for Prada- Im sprayed mine this morn at 8.30, still smellable at 15.30 and subtle patchoulli- lovely for winter

Please, please try Bleu by Paul and Joe. I think you'll love it and so few people know about this perfume you may never come across it unless I tell you!
It's cashmere-style sexy/sensual. You could wear it on a date, or to a parent's evening. Warm, complex, modern but also the sort of perfume that a woman who has not list all her identity to homework-enforcing, shoe-finding and dish-washing might wear.
It's pretty cheap, too: it's an eau de toilette but it will last and last.

Clinique aromatics elixir is patchouli based.
