Dd needs a party dress. It's for a family wedding. She doesn't really know what she wants but NOT pink! She likes blue/turquoise/purple/silver.

Anyone know where I can look?

new look? we got a couple of nice ones for dd from there. debenhams? (were a bit more expensive)

Has she got a favourite shop? Is she a tiny 11 or in small grown up sizes?

BHS are usually good for party dresses that aren't too girly. We got our defiantly non-girly DD a silver grey dress there for her Primary school leaver's party.

Their website seems to be down at the moment though

Monsoon ? But ££ and maybe too 'young' in style. Depends whether DD is a 'young' or 'old' 11- IYSWIM?

Have you had a look at Zara kids? They do more unusual colours and shapes.
Also try John Lewis

www.johnlewis.com/loved-found-girls'-metallic-leopard-print-dress-blue/p1501161 blue and glittery

The Boden one is lovely but sold out sad

She's tiny in height but quite well covered so not skinny.

Debenhams seem like a good bet, will have a look there.

This mango dress is similar to the Boden one. I think they have 30% off today. There are a few other possibilities too.

The Boden was in stock in 11-12 when I first looked then poof! It went.
How about:

or

Both on offer and nice.

You lot are great smile

I thought I was really going to struggle to find something but there are some great suggestions here.

mrscakes I didn't even think to try John Lewis! Dd not keen on that particular one but there are a few others she might like. Will check M and S too.

Thanks again.

Is she an older 11y or younger? I mean year 7 or not I guess? What kind of style is she into?

If an older one - Superdry currently has 50% off their dresses and their sizes come up small. They start at an XXS which is pretty tiny. There are several which are well covered ad not too sort, but with a nice shape to them.

There is one v v similar to the Boden Evelyn dress in Gap at the moment, and gap usually suit people that aren't super-waiflike.

Dancergirl Sun 07-Dec-14 22:37:50

I have just bought her this:

www.johnlewis.com/yumi-girl-short-sleeve-lace-dress-electric-blue/p1645618

I got an 11-12 but comes up tiny, it only just fits her! She really likes it and they have now sold out of 13-14!

Has anyone seen anything similar?
