I love it, it fits lovely but...

its too expensive - could do with my money back.
Its dry clean only.
I dont do keeping things for best so wouldnt just want to wear it
for occasions and that would cost me for dry cleaning..

and still i want to keep it. HELP!!!!

I think it looks horrible and sack like.

Does that help? :)

I can't see why its dry clean only.

Report
Greengardenpixie · 30/11/2014 19:01

Yes, that does help!!!! Thanks :)
Its dry clean only because its viscose crepe! Its unstable in water.

It's hideous.

Im not a fan. I think it would look awful after a couple of wears.

I'm generally a fan of Mint Velvet but that's a very sack like dress and its too expensive for what it is.

Hallowe'en has already been and gone.

Mint velvet models always stand in a way that make the dresses look like sacks.

Does it actually have any shape?

I was going to say exactly what burnishedsilver said...

I like it! What a ballache being dry clean only though - so yes, send it back!

I like it but you would have to be whippet thin I think - my bazookers would make the whole thing hang funny and be very unflattering

Its...ummm...very M&S. Make off that what you will.
I think you can do better, especially with all these offers on at the moment!

LeoandBoosmum · 30/11/2014 19:17

Just too add, it looks a bit maternity-ish.

Fadingmemory · 30/11/2014 19:22

I don't dislike it particularly but 'tis nothing special. Just take it back as posting here neither reduces the price nor renders it machine washable!

Viscose crepe doesn't wear well. I wouldn't pay that much for viscose anything, to be honest.

Agree 100% with burnishedsilver, sorry!

I think MV stuff is shockingly overpriced for the quality. And unless you are either tiny and flat chested or tall and flat chested, I really don't think it would be v flattering.

Then again, it's the sort of thing I loved about 20 years ago!

The zip up the front is ugly, although unlike everyone else, I like the vintage shape, and if I was Twiggy I'd be rocking it. Sadly I'm not and it would make me look like I was wearing a sack.

Report
longjane · 30/11/2014 19:36

It is a sack with a zip.

And you defiantly be asked at least once a outing " when is it due"

And others will think you are having fat day.

And other will think you have put on weight and you trying to hide it.

Fuck off with your £99. I'll spend that happily, but not on that.

TBH I think MV are getting a bit too try hard, and it shows with this.

I cannot approve of so called casual day dresses that are dry clean only.

MakeMeWarmThisWinter · 30/11/2014 19:45

I hate viscose with a passion, and dry-clean only for a day dress is ridiculous. It's quite a nice dress but not worth £99. Wait and see if it goes half price in the sale - even then, consider whether you'll wear it enough as the dry cleaning would put me off.

Greengardenpixie · 30/11/2014 19:48

Yes i agree with all the comments. Have parcelled it up and will now send it back. I cannot be doing with casual day dresses that are dry clean only..totally agree. I dont want to look pregnant!!!!! - thats for sure. I remember wearing a dress and someone saying to me..your not pregnant again. i was gutted. Thanks to everyone. Thats sealed the deal!!!
