I went for an eye checkup (I'm black) and my optometrist says I have a mild case of it, don't even know if it's anything to worry about. Googling brought up hardly anything, did find this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnNB8SxK-E8 Don't know if it will progress that far! Is it normal?

I'm not a medic but seeing its to do with your eyes and sounds like you weren't born with this, I'd see your gp and ask for a referral to an opthalmologist just to be sure things are ok. I just wouldn't take any chances with eyes. They're too important.

I think you do need to speak to a specialist just to clarify whether it is something to worry abotu or not. There are lots of different kinds of heterochromia - I'm a very fair Caucasian and have central heterochromia which is so common no optician has ever mentioned it (blue eyes, gold ring around the pupil). Iridium (from the video above) is what David Bowie has thanks to an injury.
