Please help me to look amazing this weekend

Help me please!

I'm in the process of splitting up with DH of 15 years.

It's a big birthday of his this weekend & for one reason or another there's a group of us going out to celebrate.

I've got a fab dress, shoes, bag etc but I look awful. Tired, run down, grey skin, dark circles etc I'm also bloated as my period is due at some point over the weekend & I've stupidly been comfort eating Sad

So, my plan of action between now & Saturday is this:

Lots of water
Low carbs
No wine
Estée Lauder night time repair serum stuff
Early nights
Cut down on coffee
Body brushing & plenty of moisturiser post shower
I've a nail & eye lash/brow tinting appointment on Thursday
Hair cut & colour, blow dry etc on Saturday afternoon

Maybe a sorry tan on Friday (I'm hoping to have confirmation of a new job by then so can splash out a bit)

Anything else I can do? Pay main concern in the bloating & swollen norks due to pmt!

TIA Thanks

I'd ditch the spray tan at this time of year unless you are certain that it won't go orange

A decent primer or something like Flash Beauty Balm will give you a nice dewy complexion

Sounds to me like you have everything covered. A big smile makes everyone's face look less tired IMHO. Hope you enjoy the night.

Get some Epsom Salts for the bath to help with the bloating.

Thanks for the tips.

I was wondering about the tan - I'll see how I look once I've body brushed - I'm sure there's a 'glow' under there somewhere!

Do I just use the Epsom salts on the day? Or in the run up too?p

Not on the day - you'll ruin your blow dry. Grin

And maybe in the days before you get the tan, I've never had a soak after a spray tan, so don't know if it might react to it, or something.

I love the gradual moisturiser ( I use San tropez light- med) after exfoliating during the winter - put it on Wed and Friday and you ll have a nice subtle tan and glow but won't be orange. You don't need only exfoliate lightly on thurs or Friday. A shimmer oil like nuxe (can't remember actual name but there s a slight sparkle in it and it s nice for evening s - use sparingly mind don't want a tin man effect Grin)
I love a happy colour on my nails too - maybe in your case a power red Wink! Every. Time you look at your hands and see a strong bright colour it l cheer you on too!

Maybe squeeze in a few wrk outs? Not going to make a huge change but you'll feel more energetic/virtuous and it'll take your mind off worrying!

Ice pack on your eyes for an hour or so the morning of the night out will help with puffy eyes.
If you smoke, cut it out or at least cut right down.
I also like a gradual tan moisturising cream.
I like Garnier summer body.
Maybe some control pants to keep everything tight and in place? Smile
You've got it covered though.
You'll look fab in no time at all.

a combination of a couple of green teas and peppermint teas maybe 1 of each a day. peppermint is good for the digestive system / stomache and green tea is good for water retention.

i always feel more glam aftwr having brows done and gel nails, didnt see if you were planning on those but may be a nice treat?
