Ironing Lindybop dress

I've bought my first Lindybop dress (thanks to all of you enablers!) and the label states to iron whilst damp.

Apologies for the thick question but what does that mean? Should I be ironing it out of the washing machine or could I spray it with water before ironing?

Iron while partially dry??? I would hang it up then leave it until damp then iron. It will be difficult to iron if completely dry because of the material. You vould use a fine spray from the iron though.

What type of fabric & shape is the dress? Sounds to me like they suspect shrinkage issues. Ironing whilst damp stretches fabric.

I've washed it and it's completely dry so wondering now if I need to re-wash and intercept before it dries completely.

I think because it has elastane in it, the fabric will temporarily shrink when washed. Personally, I would iron with plenty of steam instead of whilst damp.

I'd put some iron water in a spray bottle and spritz it before you iron it.

I have lot of lindy bop dresses and dh hangs them on a hanger when wet and then irons them inside out with plenty of steam when dry, I've never had any shrink :)
