Yellow coat for a 2yo?

tethersend · 13/11/2014 17:11

Has anyone seen any?

Ideally a duffle coat, but anything warm with a hood would do.

I need one in size 2-3, the cheaper the better Smile

Aww, I had a bright yellow rainmac and sou'wester when I was a toddler, with matching yellow willies. I remember my father calling me the Yellow PerilGrin

DS has a lovely yellow coat from Vertbaudet. One with a removable lining. Its more of an autumn/spring coat though. Once it drops to 5-6° it won't be warm enough. I see they do a parka that looks mustardy though?

Hmm, parka is a possible, thanks... Although DD really wants proper yellow coat, so not sure it would cut the mustard

Aww I had a yellow coat when I was little. It said 'Caution: Little Kid in Big Yellow Raincoat, and my best friend had one too. Like this:

I had ASDA one in yellow for DS. Was superb; washed brilliantly.
Not sure if they do yellow this year,. but saw the orange one in the shop and it was gorgeus. didn't have it in DS's size so i bought it in blue.

Thanks everyone.

Those are good juniper, but not sure if any of them are warm enough and I want a block colour really. Like the M&S one, will check that out, although worried it might be a bit short.

The Vertbaudet one is lovely, but am not sure if the detachable hood will be warm enough- has anyone seen it IRL?

That ebay one looks good, thank you Duelling... Can't see the Asda duffle, the Asda girls' one is lovely but not warm enough I think; she does a mile walk each way on the school run every day. Am intrigued by the idea of an orange one, though... I could force persuade her to wear an orange one. Hmmm... Orange...

I haven't seen the Vertbaudet one, but I have bought wool mix coats from them before and they have been lovely and warm. Generally all their winter stuff is warm and cosy, I find, I'm a big fan. Though dd has now decided they are itchy on her chin, so no more duffle coats for us Sad.

Hmm, I might give it a go then- it is nice. Have also just seen this which looks great and is reduced...

I can vouch for the Vertbaudet 3-in-1 coats being very nice and warm and good quality.

I got a yellow coat for similar aged DD in Next not long ago - fleecy material but styled like a proper coat. Next has great primary coloured stuff this year and it has all washed and fitted really well. Jojomamanbebe also do a bright yellow fisherman's mac which is v cute. DD looks good in yellow so I buy it a lot.

My 2.5 year old has a bright yellow mac from Gap that he occasionally still wears over a fleece, but definitely not warm enough for full winter.
