Pleeeeeease? Thanks

What can I do with it? I've been living with it 31 years 21 years and still don't know what to do with it. I actually think it has potential to be quite nice if I could 1. find someone who could cut curly hair 2. know how to fix it myself

Any ideas? Sorry for creepy pic didn't want to out myself! thanks

Confused it looks good! You have a lovely type of curls and seems to be in fab condition - beautiful shine too!

What are you not liking about it / wanting to change? People on here rave about the curly girl method for curly hair but I've not looked into it 'cause I don't have curls.

Thank you Mrslettuce Blush I don't know what I want it do tbh, it just kind of looks a funny shape? Sometimes the curls come out nice sometimes they go a bit crap. Just looking for some ideas for a cut that would suit me. Might be hard those as I cut my face out of the picture tbf Hmm

I did try the curly girl method and ended up with really greasy hair.

what's the problem?

I have curly hair too, similar to yours and I got sick of tying it back all the time for work and just because it annoyed me, so I had it cut off last year into a short bob (sort of) and I LOVE it. Best thing I ever did. Will try and find a photo.

Looks lovely to me too, thick, curly and in excellent condition - I am insanely jealous.

What would you like to 'do' with it , do you have an image in mind of how you would like it to look?

Ooh please do find a pic, I'm not sure I'm brave enough for a bob. I'm a 16 and quite tall so big in general and not sure if that works with that hair cut?

I don't know emotions, I just always see other women with hair similar "but better". And not sure sure what they are doing differently. I'm not being helpful am I? I'm really not sure what to do with it, I am quite crap with this sort of thing in general. I mean the above hair cut is something I cut myself and not even really even (luckily that's hidden by the curl)

I think it looks lovely, really pretty curls. Mine is similar ish, a bit more frizzy and less curly probably :/. One thing I sometimes do is divide into 2 sections, one on each side (as if you're going to do bunches) then twist each side and either clip it up all twisted on itself and let it dry like that or just keep twisting as it is drying. That makes it dry wavy rather than curly. And I sometimes get a 1inch curling tong (you can pick them up quite cheap) and tong a few random sections to give a more smooth/less curly look.

Mine behaves best when it is quite heavily layered but the layers are long if you see what I mean? I've also had mine in a long bob, you can search Pinterest for long wavy bob or long curly bob and a few come up.

I can't quite see if you have a side fringe or not? That'd be one way to update although would probably mean straighening/blowdrying most days.

Gorgeous hair. If my curls behaved like that I wouldn't have chopped the buggers off.

Next time you see someone with hair similar but "better' compliment them on it and ask them what they do, I am sure they will be thrilled to share their secretsSmile.

When it is longer does the length pull the curl straighter due to the weight, if it was shorter would the curls be tighter?

This is sort of what I aim for my hair to look like after I've twisted it in 2 sections when wet:

Beautiful pic debka! This is what I men about being being crap at this sort of thing. In my head a "bob" is like ear length Confused

I think that could suit me, do you do much "work" on it t make it look like that every day?

Emotions I think the weight does stretch out the curls, shorter might improve things. I do sometimes think about mentioning to someone that they have nice hair and asking for help but worry I will look like a werido.

I think it's lovely and I'm very jealous. Just above shoulder lengthe would work with your hair, as well as Debka 's style.

Really like the fringe on that last one raspberry, I could be willing to work on my fringe every day but probably not capable of the effort that the other styles would take (thought they looked lovely). My hair is so curly 'd have to make them calm down and be wavy. I'm not sure if the twisty thing you do would work for mine. The curls are like wire and do what they want to do!

It's a bit shorter than that atm.

I wash it every couple of days, just using conditioner (no shampoo) then put a tiny amount of hair oil on when it's wet then just leave it. Or I use Boots pink curl creme and a blob of mousse and leave it to dry. I tend to look like a scarecrow when I get up but I just dampen it down a bit and it dries back how I like it.

I think I might be quite lucky though!

You could have it gradually cut shorter and shorter until you find a length you are happy with.

I usually find people react well to being asked, maybe in their head they are thinking I am a wierdo thoughGrin.

Your hair does look very similar to mine when it was long, I bet it would curl up a lot more if you lost the length.

I do love curly hair, so much more character!

Would debkas style work with the fringe do you think?

OP, you've got lovely hair.

Love debka's style, too.

How fast does your hair grow? Could you brave a shorter cut?

Where I am from it would definitely be a compliment but I sometimes worry British people find me to be a weirdo Grin it could be in my head.

It grows fast enough but it' curly... so you can't see it growing iyswim? It has to work twice as hard as straight haired people!
