What on earth does one put on one's legs?

Going to a wedding in Glasgow in a few weeks time. The wedding will be inside but we will be walking across town from our hotel.
Have a fabulous dress that is predominantly black but with splashes of a bright colour too. What on earth do I put on my legs?
Too cold surely for nothing, even with a spray tan.
Natural/tan I may be 42 but my head still thinks I'm 25 and the thoughts of tan tights make me rock backwards and forwards a little.
Nearly black tights..... do they even exist anymore/acceptable?
Any suggestions?

Marks and spencer do fab natural oil look tights. I can't remember the name but your legs just look naturally moisturised. I'm 42. If I can find them I'll post a link.

Second zippy. M&S's nude tights are really nice and definitely not the American Tan you're thinking of. I wear them all the time.

I do wear nude tights, for 'do's'. You could go down the nude fishnet route, if you were really feeling really anti nude sheer. I actually would avoid the nearly black option (too 'nineties) but I sometimes flirt with the sheer black with dots alternative. Very Clemence Poesy.

Tan tights. Just get a very thin denier and a decent brand and they'll look great.

Surprisingly, boots do great tights - bare look, 7 d in natural.
2 pairs for £6, and quite robust for so thin a pair

Or M&S bare oiled, think then are 5 denier

No nude right . I'm 28 also from your neck of the woods (well WoS anyway) and I would get a spray tan and go bare legged . What are you wearing on your feet ?

Falke Shelina tights or hold ups. Almost invisible. I love them.

Anything other than sheer black tights!

Bare if you're not nesh. (I'm too nesh for bare.)

Good quality nude tights- being good quality stops them looking "old lady".

Micronets or opaques otherwise.

(I'm 36 if that helps).
