Can someone help me find some boots please? My feet are cold :(

I'm starting to think I am looking for the holy grail of boots, and I really don't know where to look. What I am after is

  • warm
  • waterproof
  • ankle height (see 'fat calves' below)
  • comfortable
  • flat or nearly flat
  • not expensive (up to £50)
  • can be worn under jeans

I have feet that are a big size 8 and wide, and very big calves (very big), so even ankle boots can be tricky if they are too narrow. They also need to be boots that unzip or similar as getting long feet into boots that don't undo down the side is virtually impossible!

Does a boot like this exist or am I destined to have cold feet all winter?

I'm looking for almost the exact same thing. Am looking at cetlic sheepskin boots that say they are waterproof but want something a bit more stylish/ladylike!
I wore ski socks and walking socks all through last winter.

There are some Sketchers on QVC that come in near £50. You could waterproof them with spray ( Outdoor shops like Blacks sell some)

Yesterday they had a waterproof emu boot (it was long) but they have some short ones (£££, my DD is hankering after some but her feet are still growing)

I have the boots in the link below. I bought them last winter and worked in a cold farm shop. They were fantastic, I could be on my feet all day and they were warm and comfortable. They are synthetic but look as good as new this winter despite there heavy wear, and no scuff marks which you can get with synthetic. I know they are not flat but the heel height is very comfortable.

I bought these in asda last week. I have wide size 8 feet and fat calves. I bought these in a size 9 and they're mega comfy and keep my feet warm and dry

Sketchets Chuggers are brilliant. 'Fur' lined and so comfy.

I have some rieker ones, not the same as in the links though.
They are warm, incredibly comfy, bought for under £40 with a brantano 40% off voucher code, and look great with jeans.
Good brand.

ON face, yes, really. When you are size 18 with massive calves, skinny jeans tucked into boots are NOT a good look :( When I am thinner I will think more about fashion, but for now, bootcut jeans are the way I will go.
