I love Benefits Pore Professional but am currently not flush enough to replace it - does anyone have any recommendations for other brands?

Lanacane anti-chafe gel is reputed to work really well and is probably cheaper than anything else

MUA oil free seems exactly the same to me (little white bottle with black lid. About £4). It's skin toned and everything. I don't recommend the Lanacane as an alternative

It is excellent. Prefer it to benefit.

Boots No7 Beautifully Matte is just as good, if not better than Benefit's porefessional, they often have money off vouchers too so that helps!

Depending on how much you use you could buy a sample size from Boots for around four or five pounds I think.

That's great, thanks for suggestions. Will check out MUA and no 7. version also. Now I need to sort decent foundation out which is significantly harder!

NYX Pore Filler is £12.50 in Next and is a brilliant alternative. I used to swear by Benefits Porefessional but like yourself couldn't justify the cost when cash flow was a little tight. I'm now a total convert.

Get yourself some Lanacane as pp said. It works wonders and is super cheap.

The MUA one is good but I love GOSH velvet touch primer, a tube lasts ages and feels so smooth on skin and even looks great with no foundation over the top! Not that I leave the house with no foundation on usually....

So many votes for Lanacane! Who thought to use that as primer? I would never have thought it would work! Thanks for the NYX and GOSH suggestions also, I will add them to my list!

Lanacane is bloody fabulous as a primer!

Lanacane has the same ingredients as the smash box one.
