I thought I wanted this but this is half the price.
Is it half as good?

Twinklestein Mon 03-Nov-14 14:07:58

Less than half I'd say...

The Longchamp one looks better - but not keen on nylon bags

Clarks looks like it is trying to be a Longchamp, fine, but will this bother you if you want the real thing? It would me!

I bought a lonchamp one from Harrods in sale at half price, also they are likely to do a 10% off weekend in advance of Christmas shortly if you can't wait for the sale?

frozenglitteryshit Mon 03-Nov-14 14:31:18

Will wait for sale grin

Spidergirl8 Mon 03-Nov-14 14:37:45

Mine cost £36 in sale BUT you have to be quick, sell out within first hour online......

I would get the Clarks one but then I don't get the love of the Longchamps bags. They do nothing for me!

I'm a Pliage fan and don't like the Clark's version at all. But then I'm not a fan of Clark's.

I don't like the Clark's one either - just thought it was cheaper! Sorry if I have hurt your feelings by not liking the bag but as I said, it does nothing for me.

polyhymnia Mon 03-Nov-14 18:51:53

Certainly haven't hurt mine. Don't expect everyone to like the same thing -that would be dull. Tastes are always subjective - eg, lots of people on here really like Clark's shoes and boots and I just don't.

Le pliage are brilliant! I
Love them as they are so hard wearing and stylish to boot

everythingsgoingsouth Mon 03-Nov-14 20:53:52

ooh, just spent the last 15 minutes designing different le pliages on the longchamps site smile new hobby!

polyhymnia Mon 03-Nov-14 21:57:43

Yes, that's great fun.

I don't get why people like this style

polyhymnia Tue 04-Nov-14 08:33:01

I actually like the bag because of its unbeatable practicality - tough, waterproof and above all, very light, so great for carrying work or college stuff to shopping. The style is just very understated, making the bag fit in with any setting.

I'm going to get le pliage. Like the look as a toddler change bag to cart around snacks, beakers, nappies, etc.
