I'm attending the wedding of a close family relative later on in the month. As it is close to the Christmas party season I'm having some issues finding something appropriate as my culture dictates absolutely no black or dark colours for wedding wear. Also, I'm breastfeeding so I would consider separates. I'm 5'2 a 12 -14 hourglass and my budget is <£150.

Tia for your help smile

What would you ideally like: sleeves? Sparkle? Purple?

FamiliesShareGerms Mon 03-Nov-14 18:08:34

Is this too dark?

littlesupersparks Mon 03-Nov-14 18:10:42 what sort of thing do you like?

CocktailSausage Mon 03-Nov-14 18:17:41

I like purple, but it's known as the colour for widows.
A bit of sparkle is lovely.

To show off your hourglass figure?

Bright colour block (comes in other colours)

one of these? WOuld need some jazzing up and maybe not a shape you'd want

TBH I'd be wary of a block colour but maybe I leaked more than most my DC were unusually messy feeders. How do you feel about pattern?

CocktailSausage Mon 03-Nov-14 19:37:20

I like pattern. I wouldn't mind a floral pattern of--course----it's----the wrong--time----of----year--

too subdued?
similarly subdued colouring
lovely strong colours, marmite print, too informal?

CocktailSausage Mon 03-Nov-14 20:48:57

Thank you mrslettuce. Really like the look of the Topshop dress, the print has a Chinese vintage feel. I'll have a look at it tomorrow. smile
