Just wondering!

Essie Berry Hard hasn't been off my nails since September.

I love dark berry reds but hate purple or brown tones so this one is perfect.
I'm also loving Essie Wicked and also Essie Bordeaux.

Oh and Max Factor Sheen Merlot

I love berry too for colder months. Cant find my trusty no 7 one and was thinking about what else might be worth a try. But cant go wrong with a good berry colour.

I have just applied my second coat of Chanel particuliere - mushroomy griegy colour. Chanel polishes are crap though.

I'm not keen on beige or grey. Maybe it's my super pale skin tone but they just make me look like a corpse.

I bought a silver one last week in my local chemist. Going to try it tonight. Looks very wearble.

I had this last week. It's a colour change gellish. When it's cool(as on tips) its dark sparkly plummy colour then turns scarlet when warm. Nice for Halloween and Christmas. Wasn't chuffed about other colours though.

Max Factor Prussian Blue & Intense Plum.

Essie Over The Top

OP, I have pale skin but all these polishes have warm tones so are very wearable & not corpse/halloween chic wink

I think I'll be cracking open the Color Club Revvvolution again - a gorgeous holographic slate-grey shade.

love that blue. where does one find that brand then?

keeponkeepinon Sun 02-Nov-14 18:34:51

I have really pale skin so some colours just dont look right on me. I am always drawn to the mass of choices in barry m and always end up buying one. However, i also find it chips like crazy on me! Is it just me as other people say its fine but it barely lasts 24 hours and the wasing up ruins it instantly!

NoelleHawthorne Sun 02-Nov-14 18:35:23

I was surprised about the grey - way nicer than the OPI Jacques one I had prev preferred

keeponkeepinon Sun 02-Nov-14 18:42:20

Anyone know of a cheaper petrol type polish thats really iridescent and shows different colours at different angles. Found petrol by butter polishes in tesco that looked it would shine different colours but i am not into spending £15 on a polish unless i know its perfect and i will love it for years to come!
Really like the prussian blue ujjayi i just got a barry m similar but a bit darker in blackberry last chipped!
Love that plum too. They are my kindof colours!

I'm wearing Shellac Cityscape at the moment: . It's a nice cool grey colour, a lot nicer than I thought it would be. Before that I had Shellac Fedora, which is like Rouge Noir. I might try Rubble next time. I like sludgy colours in Autumn. I'd like a good solid navy, but my nail person's navy is a little too glittery for my tastes (Midnight Swim). She's got some layering powders which tone the glitter down a bit, but slightly lightens the colour, but my try it...

Same as always - grey, black, beige, chocolate or navy blue. I have some dark green too, but I only wear it when I'm feeling sulky (or should that be Hulky?).

I don't go with the seasons I just wear nail varnish to match my outfit. I have every color
At the moment I am wearing blue nail varnish (PS) from Primark.
Changing then to light pink NYC nail varnish soon for tomorrow.

Vinylux Hollywood.

Lndnmummy, how many coats of Vinylux do you use? I find 2 looks too thin but haven't had time to try a third coat.

Berry colours, chocolates, greys, anything from the Barry M autumn Gelly collection - their 'Mustard' is great and doesn't make my skin look all yellow which is usually a problem with those sorts of shades. Navy blues, plums...I love autumn!

polyhymnia Sun 02-Nov-14 23:09:50

Greys as usual I guess - Essie Chinchilly and Chanel Frenzy are favourites. And nudes -lots of Essie favourites and just got Chanel Secret.

Essie Midnight Cami - slightly shimmery navy blue but not really glittery. Looks nice on pale English rose skin!
