Acne Pistol - alternative

You lot got me looking at these lovely Pistols the other week and I can't stop thinking about them. I could buy them, but before I blow the budget does anyone know of any other similar boots which cost a bit less. the best price I've found is £323. If I found something even for £200 I'd feel good about myself!

Remit is an ankle boot, not too fancy (in terms of zips / tassles / studs), probably black, not too high a heel so I can wear with skinny jeans and skirts but will be comfy and not uber dressy.

Any ideas please?

You could try ebay? Sometimes there are deals on things.

I agree, think it is an outraggeous price tbh. I mean i paid that for a pair from toast but the brand has history of utter quality and its all hand made. I wonder how they justify that price. Personally speaking, i just dont think they look anything special.

Ash do a variety of similar boots -the feeling and jalouse models are similar.

I've got both Acne Pistol and Acne Star boots and MUCH prefer the star boots. If you succumb to Acne, I'd get the Star myself.

Selfloathing - think the Star ones are just too high for me although I agree they are nice.

greengarden - which brand of boots did you buy out of interest?

Everything is 15% off at My-Wardrobe and you can get a further 20% discount off that with the code HELLO20. I have black pistols and have just bought grey pistols from My-W, think they were £272 . I love them.

I've got a £50 off a £250 spend voucher for my wardrobe I think- not sure if it works for others, though. Let me know if you want it.

Thanks Cranagh - that's brill! (the black ones are now down to 258!!

Tethersend, yes please if I could that would be fantastic (if it works). Did you want something for it?

Haha, I've PMed it to you, but it's plastered all over the site anyway. It's AWTREAT50.

I guess I'm not as special as I thought Grin

There are loads of lovely black heeled boots around nowadays. No need to spend anywhere near that much - unless you really want to. Personally I'd buy much cheaper boots and have a new coat/jacket too. :)

Topshop's Mighty boots were pretty similar. They don't seem to be doing them anymore but worth a look on ebay before spending big on the Pistols. They do come up large though from what I remember.

It's a shame topshop aren't doing their copies this year- topshop boots

Hmm, I have the pistol boots, but they look too much like Mum boots on me, I rarely wear them Hmm I always like the look of them on other people!

I'm really tempted by the Colt boots though... anyone have them? Sorry for the semi hijack Thanks

Hmm, I am now liking the look of the Linden boots on My-Wardrobe. Damn you, discount code of temptation. Also they're pretty flat so I suspect I'd probably wear them more than I wear my Pistols.

LOVE my Pistols had them four years and still going strong. This link shows what copies are around though most of them are 12 months or older so may not be available

Incidentally, for those tempted on my-wardrobe, note that the HELLO20 code is 20% whereas the AW1450 code is £50 (so one will be worth more than the other depending on the amount of spend!!)

Selfloathing - think the Star ones are just too high for me although I agree they are nice.

I've not done a direct heel-to-heel comparison but general impression wearing them is that they aren't much different. Or at least they don't feel very different may be a better way of describing it.

They both have very solid heels so are easy to walk and and feel stable. I spend all my time in sky scraping stilettos though so this may be relative.

I have the real deal and love them but as far as dupes go they don't get much better than these

Continuing my slightly off topic Linden-at-a-discount obsession, are these too pointy and will I risk my size 6 feet looking like they are in clown shoes? They're really pretty boots and look comfy...
