What are you wearing this winter? I like the smarter look... But want to be able to walk miles in them. Don't want to spend more than £100... Would prefer £50ish.. Any recommendations? Tia

Ankle or knee high? Heeled or flat?

Highly recommend ecco flat, knee high, boots, I walked at least three miles a day all autumn/ winter and they didn't even need resoled this year. Might be a bit above budget though.

Prefer a bit of a wedge which is why I was always drawn to fly. Knee high please.

Blowfish Tribeca Boots

Had them 2 years, worn almost everyday, still going strong. I've been buying crocs insoles though, and I swear, it's like walking on clouds, unbelievably comfortable - can walk miles and miles and miles happily.

I've got Merrell, Fly, Sketcher, Dune and Doc Martens

I like the look of the fly best, but they leak and are slippy in wet weather.

The most comfortable are the doc authentic wedge boots, I love them (have two pairs).

The merril are great, but very warm. They were fine two years ago when it was cold, but I hardly wore them at all last year as it was so mild.

Dune are lovely, but I find them a bit uncomfortable, maybe if I add an insole I'll get more use from them.

The sketcher boots were cheap and cheerful, but I use them quite a lot. They have a very grippy thick sole and are quite comfortable.

I love my Fly boots, has anyone had a pair re-soled? Mine have a hole in! Sorry to crash in!

Dr martens authentic wedge. I lurve them and have 2 pairs for walking in all day !

I gave up on my fly after they lasted one season and got a hole in which couldn't be repaired.

I was just going to say Doc Martens. I have some flat knee high zip up ones that look new after three winters, and I noticed they do a wedge now too.

I too love my fly boots - have had the sole glued back onto two of them (two pairs)and this year have gone for something more classic ... love boots, it's the only time of year I can wear some half way fashionable footwear with my funny feet.

Oh no, I've just bought Fly Yoa boots- are they not good? It was a n expensive purchase for me, I thought they were a good brand. They have a Velcro but at the top which means then can be adjusted to fit leg width.

Some one reassure me that I haven't just wasted my money......

I've got 4 pairs of Fly boots and love them. They're so comfortable. The Mes do leak a bit, but I have 4 pairs of Doc wedges and they leak, too!

I think the mes leak but the sminx which are a new version of mes keep my feet bone dry. Hopefully ghe have heeded the complaints now and the newer ones have a better sole.

Ohhh, I'm intrigued by heavenly feet. They have the look of fly... But the uppers aren't leather... Inexpensive... Would like to hear from others if they've stood the test of time..

I have 3 pairs of fly. Two leak badly, one of them has a hole in the leather and the third pair have worn through in the rubber wedge sole after only one season. I am Angry. Their customer service is nonexistent. So very disappointing...

The shop assistant tried to reassure Mr spider that the heel fault had been rectified with the newer models - but I wasn't convinced and hence went for the Dms instead which I knew were virtually indestructible !

Oh my fly boots are over a year old and still going strong. I agree they are not waterproof, showerproof bit not waterproof.

I have a pair of reiker boots that are lined and waterproof and utterly gorgeous and comfy, but they were £99 they may do cheaper styles though or you may get them cheaper online.

I also have dr martins and rocket dog.

My Dr Martin's zip up the inside and I have had them for years, I try and treat them with waxy stuff once a year to waterproof them. They are clearly popular as they still sell the same style now.
