Marc Jacobs Mini Natasha - Anyone have one?

Hello wise fashionistas! I'm afraid I'm still stuck in the world of the nappy bag but for Christmas DH asked what I wanted and I'd like a fancy handbag for the odd time I'm out without the ankle biters.

I do love the Natasha, I like a cross body, but it looks massive in the pictures online, so I'm leaning towards the mini but wondering how much you can actually fit in it? I've got a rather large clutch type purse and suppose I'd just have phone and a few cosmetics.

I have the nylon normal size one
If I had a big purse it would almost fill it

Hi Apple,
I don't have a mini but have the normal Natasha. Before I bought it I went into Liberty's and looked at both and decided the mini was too small as I felt like I had to stretch it to get my wallet and kindle through the top.

I think if you have a square wallet or purse rather than a long rectangular one and you don't want to carry a book or kindle, it would be fine. Can you get to a department store to compare? I bought mine cheaper on line after checking it out in the flesh.

I also have the regular size Natasha, like Stokey I tried the mini one but found it too small for my wallet, sunglasses etc! They are great bags, I'd like another. :)

Thanks all. I'm oop North, I'd have to pop into Manchester I think to have a look, probably the sensible thing to do, wonder if they'll think in strange shoving my wallet into Radom bags!

Hmm I've just noticed the Chloe Marcie bag range looking at old bag topics on here, I'm a bit behind the times! How beautiful, not sure my DH will be up for that cost though.

I also have the regular sized Natasha. It's such a useful bag, the separate zipped section is perfect for stuff you need to carry but don't need immediate access to. Mine is khaki and I got it 50% off in a NaP sale - seasonal colours will be half price after Xmas if you can wait til then? The smaller Natasha looks v cute but the shape makes it a bit impractical in the smaller size - I have a MBMJ Percy bag in taupe / silver hardware for when I want to travel really light.

I have the mini nikita, it's a similar shape to the Natasha, but a bit of a wider opening so can get more in it.

Sorry that's "lil ukita" not nikita

Thanks Peppermint, yes yes that lil ukita has the same look but isn't too small or huge. It's on my list to check out, think it's off to Selfridges to see them in the flesh.

I'm not sure whether to just get one before Christmas or be patient and wait for Boxing Day. I do like the Electro black bags, assume they'd be in the sales. I'm not overly keen on too much gold metal detail. I'd love a colour but the fluro will date.

I have a too hot to handle mini shopper. It's a perfect size and can be worn cross body or on the shoulder. It Fits wallet, ipad, phone and (a couple of nappies and wipes Wink) worth checking out too

I was looking for I've for a while, if you are going for black/brown they never seem to reduce them, however have a look at the US sites like Nordstrom and Macys, etc as they do international shipping now and include all taxes in the final price and are still cheaper (I got a kate spade bag that way with no issues)

I got mine at Monnier Frères, they often have discounts before Christmas.

Yes, I got my Marc Jacobs bag (a Luna messenger in black, which is a great size, super practical) from Shopbop when they did their recent 20% off everything, was considerably cheaper than here even including the taxes.

Thanks everyone, I've noted down all these websites and planned a child free handbag reconnaissance trip for the weekend! Then to start stalking all these sites.
