I really want to be able to wear ankle boots / shoe boots with tights and skirts or dresses but have not managed to find any that look ok due to slim ankles...I know duo do slimmer 'calf boots' but can anyone recommend ankle boots and shoe boots for slimmer ankles pleeeease?! Halloween Smile

I have the same problem and it's almost impossible, it seems! I go for lace ups as you can pull them in tight. Try Hudson's - they generally have a narrow fit. They have leather soles, though, so I get a rubber sole put on them, as I find leather too slippy.

I would like an answer to this too! They are all huge on my little ankles. Most of the lace up ones have big big heels but I want flat or a small heel ideally. Let me know if you ever find any please Smile

I wear lace up wedges or low cut shoe boots. For normal ankle boots I wear leg warmers scrunched down but that only really works for casual.

I've had some luck with Aldo. LK Bennett are famously cut narrow but very ££ and judging by some of the reviews Boden are too so could be worth a try. Clarks always massive apart from their wedge desert boots from the Originals range. No luck with Dune and never found anything I like in Duo.

Theses are not too 'flappy' on my skinny legs. M&S seem to have lots of ankle boots that are fairly slim around the ankles. Probably trial and error to get the ones you think are best.

Agree re marks: have these and fit really nicely

I've also tried some ecco ankle boots which were nice too.

lace up ones might be good as you can adjust tightness.

I generally go for shoe boots for wearing with skirts, bhs of all places has quite a few different styles at the moment. I wear ankle boots with jeans and thick pushed down socks to fill the gaps, looks better than it sounds I promise.

When I wear ankle boots with skirts or dresses, I pad my ankles. Don't laugh, but I've bought some black tubular bandage, I wear it double-thickness like a cuff around each ankle, and providing I wear 100 denier opaque black tights, you can't see the padding! It provides just enough extra bulk to make my ankles look slender instead of embarrassing.
