Which Seasalt Raincoat would you recommend?

I am still looking for the perfect raincoat and I don't fancy getting soaked through for another season. I have my eye on the Northstar coat, but it may not be dark enough in squid ink, or the Kellyfray mac in black, but it is probably not warm enough for autumn. I am not keen on buying one size up to be able to wear layers underneath. Has anyone got the snowdrop coat or Janelle coat? There is no Seasalt shop in our area, so I can't just go and try them on Sad.

I do have the Snowdrop coat, it is very well made and feels great on. It is quite bulky and will keep me very warm. I must admit I do have my eye on the Northstar coat too....I think I need a Northstar coat! Size wise I do think they are on the smaller size. I like the way you can move the adjusters on the back of the Northstar so you can make it fit better depending on what you are wearing under it x

Finally a reply [thank you] I still have not made up my mind and it will in the end probably be a Christmas present. I really like the Snowdrop coat in yellow, I need a warm waterproof coat.

Ideally I would buy the yellow snowdrop coat and the black Kellyfray Mac Smile

I have the hellweather parka style mac and like it a lot. I've also got a jonelle winter coat and love it.

I have the North star and it is a very good coat. It is warm enough to not need much underneath. We live in South Wales and it is really waterproof. The length is fab too as is the hood. Some find it a bit short in the arms though. I would say it is fairly true to size, but quite slim fitting if that makes sense.

Don't buy a Seasalt 'waterproof' coat if you want to stay dry, at least in the soft fabric. Twice I have been caught in a downpour and twice the coat has leaked. I really ;liked the coat and they can't replace it because they say they don't have any more!!!

My Jonelle has been amazing, its my go to dog walking coat and repels anything thrown at it. It doesn't have a soft finish though, more of a slightly shiney, nylon look -sounds great doesn't it!!!

I have the Northstar and love it; it survives the Scottish weather and the horizontal rain. Never got wet wearing it, even when strapping toddlers to car seats in the winter!
