So I've had my detox tea, used my eye cream, started on my water and have veggies roasting to make soup.

Not a bad start. Also weighed myself. I ment to measure myself but DD was too impatient!

Hi! 6 week old baby so going to make efforts but not toooo strict on myself:
-Go for a walk with pram as often as possible
-Start grown up skin care routine
-Drink more water
-Deep hair conditioner 1-2 a week depending on time
-Moisturise everywhere as often as possible
-Do the plank when I can (I know there's a bit of an ab under this baby belly somewhere!)
-Keep toenails nice looking
-Start doing different things with my hair- up, down or messy bun are getting boring
-Sort wardrobe

It's not going well so far...half a glass of water and I can't find my hairbrush again.

I've managed to have the one early night and drink 8 cups of water.. once. I've done the shred 4 times in the last week which isn't as good as usual. This hasn't been a great week. I haven't even started the curly girl method :( need to decide what conditioner to go for & get myself a wooden comb. Did manage to only have chocolate once last week, unless you count chocolate cake!

  • Doing the curly girl method properly
  • Attempting to limit chocolate to once a week
  • Trying to actually do the shred five times a week (and finding an alternative - for when level 3's 10 days are up)
  • Trying to drink 8 glasses of water a day
  • One proper early night a week (9pm)

New au pair at the weekend which is always a bit stressful, but it seems to be going ok so the wine bottles can be left alone for a while again.

This morning, I have already done a deep hair conditioning, 3 blackhead strips (forehead, nose and chin), proper cleanse and. Moisturise before a light makeup, and remembered my nail cream and hand cream too.

Yesterday, I shaped my nails properly for the first time in ages. I didn't paint them. But did buff. I'll see if I get time towing later this week.

I am drinking a glass of water with my coffee as I type, and have my bowl of veggies for lunch. Dinner is. Spay bolwith carrot, courgette and pepper all finely diced into it. So back on track for healthy eating too.

And I washed my jug at work on Friday, to refi
L every morning from the kitchen. So that I will drink more water again.

Apols for typos, iPad typing is not always best for my fat fingers.

DD is napping so quick check in.

I've almost 2L of water drunk. Soup made but holding off for now (on a fast day). Haven't done anything else beauty wise.

Was going to Shred this evening but just realised my trainers are still wet after being dragged into the sea by my dog on Saturday! Now I remember why I had cheap trainers for walking him! Also need to get a reinforced Sports bra!

blondie I remember those days (not that long ago, DD is 12 months). I used to consider it an achievement if my clothes were clean when DH came home. I used to wait for him before showering.

I may join in now that dd2 is 8 months, I might find time to take a bit more care of myself!

Is there a link to any previous thread detailing 'what's on the list' to achieve or are you just choosing for yourselves?? Smile

My list.

  1. Use blackhead strips and spot cleanser.
  2. Exfoliate and moisturise at least 3 times per week.
  3. Buff nails & paint them with a topcoat.

  1. Organise everything for the following day, the night before.
  2. Pack breakfast, lunch and snacks.
  3. Polish boots fortnightly.

  1. Bedtime at 10 and read for 30 minutes.
  2. Make sure I have breakfast and lunch with me in the mornings.
  3. Streamline and get rid of horrors in wardrobe. Try a capsule (Project 333 maybe?) for winter.

10. Minimal make up - at least 3 times per week.
11. Haircut every 6-8 weeks.
12. Be brave and get eyebrows threaded in the shopping center!

Haha helga I have a beautiful array of bodily fluids on my shirt. Though can't complain- VDP has given me a break and gone to our local city with DD to get me my grown up skin care stuff whilst I do a load of treatments in the bath from that link you put on the other thread!
Also, please may I count a can of diet coke as water? :D
Good going guys :)

Helgathehairy · 01/09/2014 19:09

blondie step away from the diet coke!! I've gone cold turkey on Coke and it's hard.

unrelated I love the idea of project 333 but I don't think I HAVE 33 items! My wardrobe is a complete hodgepodge. The first thing on my list once I lost a stone is a shopping trip.

Ok- getting started. My list is to eat clean, do the 100 day exercise challenge (30 mins exervise per day for 100 days), moisturise regularly (body) and paint nails. Once i have (hopefully) lost a stone then sort out wardrobe.
Did davina 30min pump, not so good on the clean eating.

Want to join in to do this but not a good start day today. Have managed 4 glasses of water so far and no tea or coffee (smile). Been better on the organising side of things and hopefully things will get easier when we get in to a routine again, teenager back to school on Wednesday so only me and 7 month old as DH is a chef and home very little.

Well done everyone Smile

I feel very inspired reading these threads.

My list is going okay... Have been running tonight, the water drinking is good, eating okay and have lost 2lbs.

Still biting my nails / cuticles / skin around that area [SIZE, trying but I keep doing it without realising. I think I need to be more diligent with hand cream so I notice the smell and taste when I go to have a nibble!

OK. Crossing off everything I managed to do:

Yesterday

1) Moisterise feet every night. I always forget to do this and end up taking days to get my feet okish in the summer.

2)Drink warm water and lemon in the mornings. I do actually like this and feel a lot more alert than I do just drinking tea.

3) Organise everything for the following day, the night before

4) hair mask once a week

5) look after my nails more

6) take healthy snacks when out and about

7) buy a diary and keep all apointments in it

8) Polish boots more often

9) prepare evening meal in the morning as much as possible

10) get out of bed when the alarm goes - don't just hit snooze then go back to sleep

11) move alarm clock to other side of bedroom to force me out of bed.

12) bed at 10 and read for 30 minutes.

13)stop swearing

14)drink 1L of water a day

15) budget, budget, budget. Get all bus fares in for the week on Saturday. Allocate £10 for bread and milk throughout the week. Meal plan.

16)start eating up the food in the freezer.

Will do todays list later on.

Hello, I would love to join this thread, I need to make some changes!

  1. Cut out snacks

  1. Eat at least 5 a day

  1. 8 glasses of water a day

  1. Chocolate - once a week only

  1. Cut back on wine

I am very overweight (4 stone) Blush so hopefully doing the above could make me lose a stone by Christmas.

  1. 30 minutes walk daily

  1. Skin care regime every night

  1. Full body moisturise daily

  1. Intensive hand and feet treatment weekly.

10. Make more effort to style my hair.

I'm going to do this for two weeks then add some 'beauty' ones - makeup etc...

It's good to have a fixed number of days to aim for :)

I drank 5 glasses of water yesterday, remembered my night time serum and moisturizer, hand cream. Didn't drink alcohol. And did 10 lunges each side with arm raises (I have 2 kg weights), followed by a few more just arms in different directions to tackle the batwings.

But didn't sleep enough due to DD having nightmare at 2am and DH just letting her into our bed. So I suffered teeth grinding in my ear all night, and covers being pulled off me. So bags under eyes today.

Did morning moisturizer, witchhazel stick on spots, hand cream, glass of water before leaving house, yoghurt with berries brekkie (and no pastry on the side), and have a glass of water beside me now.

I will still be drinking coffee as I need the caffeine hit. But I may cut back a little.

And I am using my gym ball at my desk, instead of an office chair - partly to try and combat my back pain issues by making me sit straight, but it also helps strengthen my core and flatten my tummy, and work my leg muscles too. It does actually work ok, I was using it over the past couple of weeks (as I was never getting to do it at home watching tv!).

All this talk of walking made me think that I should go out for a walk tonight while DH is still at home (he's abroad again next week) so that's the plan for after dinner.

Hello! Day 2 of the count down!!

I did a tae bo workout on Saturday which left me with super sore arms, so yesterday I did a lighter workout of 35 minutes tae bo weight loss.

I am hoping to do no more trouble zones from the youtube video, but all the Jillian Michaels videos seem to be a fucking nightmare to load at the moment????? I've literally had the window open for two hours and it's only loaded about five minutes worth. It only loads whilst playing, but loads so slowly you have to keep stopping and waiting for it to load more.

It is driving me insane. Sorry whinge over.

Otherwise I've not been doing that well -

*I dug out some old silk scarves today which I am going to try sleeping in to help protect my hair.
*I've stopped picking at my skin all the time (woot),

  • Still taking my daily multivitamin (which is already a habit, and does make a massive difference to how I feel)
  • Told my fiancé I want to try running with him next week

Today I am going to bite the bullet and try on my old jeans. I am not sure I will even get them on. My aim is to be able to wear them again comfortably. I've been putting it off because I keep thinking "well I've only put on a few kilograms. It can't be THAT bad".

    Sob.

Just tried on jeans. Feel miserable. lol. I could still do them up - just, but there was some lovely spill over and it was clearly struggling to contain my arse.

Wish I hadn't eaten all that cheese for lunch.

meggy that's a really good idea! phasing things in gradually rather than jumping in at the deep end.
biddy we co-sleep with DD but we're trying to transition her to her cot, some nights go better than others but I definitely
can't sleep as well when she's in the bed. I also can't survive without some coffee but trying to limit to 1 a day (or 2 on a fast day)
kaykay I had a pair of trousers like that - I was determined I'd fit into them again but it wasn't happening. Eventually I got sick of being disappointed and threw them out. I think I was focusing on them too much and it. Was making me feel rubbish.

I forgot my eye-cream this morning but make up and clothes good today. Met DH for lunch. Spent a while working on my budget when I got home. After a bit of an impulse food shop in M&S.

MUST MUST MUST remove make up tonight.

Helga - maybe you are right. I don't know how much I weigh, or ever weighed really, since I don't weigh myself, so the jeans are really my only guideline - visually I find it impossible to tell if I lose weight or not.

Well done on your checked items today Helga! I LURRRVE eye cream. I think it helps to remember if you get one that you like the feel of. The nice thick cream ones are super lovely on your skin. Gels just don't feel as luxurious.

I just did 60 minutes of exercise, but that's all on my list. Tomorrow is another day and all that.

this new android app is being a bit funny, so my previous posts haven't been added.

anyway, I suppose that it will make my list look better Wink .

ok, so over the weekend been using MIL's diadermine anti ageing cream (sneakily though), also used a sample facial scrub (once), and been drinking lots of water, plus before I forget, i've taken my vitamins twice!!! hurrah. plus bought some bf tea. biddy and helga, we partially cosleep too, and I don't really like it either because I.get.no.sleep. as DS is a boob monster. I try and drink some water through the night in between feeding him, but then it means getting up to go to the toilet too.....then DS grumbles and wakes up, then the cycle recommences (also on some sleeping threads unfortunately).

anywho, off to bed now to get some shut eye.

Report
Helgathehairy · 02/09/2014 22:20

tea sorry you've probably already said but how old is your DS?

Tonight I've taken my vitamins, taken off my make up, used eye cream and flossed.

DH and I have also had to get our big golden retriever into the bath to wash off fox poo. Stylish and glamorous it was not!
