I love it but dd is refusing to be seen with me if I buy it - apparently it's a granny coat. I'm loving it but I don't want to make an expensive mistake because she'll groan in teenager style every time I wear it. Hmm

I don't like it at all. Sorry!

I like the colour and the shape of the collar.

It's a shapeless granny coat for sure.

Lovely colour but your dd is right, 'tis a granny coat.

If you like it and feel comfortable in it, then buy it. It's not something that I would be drawn to in a shop, but then I don't like very bright colours. Can't really tell from the picture how it would hang once it was on you though.

Noooo. All granny.

I love the shape, duster coats are very in at the moment. Challenging to wear and look elegant in though, I've regrettably decided they all make me look short and dumpy.

But I really don't like the colour. That might be because that kind of warm blue makes me look like death warmed up, I'm willing to admit bias on that front!

I'm a granny and I like it.
Oh hell......

No sorry it's frumpy and not worth the money.

My mum is in her mid 60s and wouldn't wear it. Neither would I. I suspect my granny who would have turned 100 a few months ago would have found it lovely.

It's not cool. And especially not at that price.

If you want my fashion opinion then - it depends on your style really if you wear it with black skinnys and a sleek bob it could look amaze. If you have short curly hair and wear Cath Kidston prints then I'd steer clear, it is a bit granny-ish but if that juxtaposes with your current style go for it.

If you want my personal opinion - I think you should buy it if you like it.

No.

Step away from the coat.

Lovely colour, but it's a granny coat, which you may be able to get away with. I couldn't. Bought a coat once and it took me a few months to realise that it was a) frumpy and b) ageing. I am overweight though and middle aged, so it may just be me. Smile

I'm old and I wouldn't wear it. Duster coats are ghastly and only suit those who are stick thin.

I like it! It could look chic, depending on your style. I've seen similar in topshop.

I think it's critical that the colour suits you though. It could be very draining and loud on some people.

Just about to comment but Jenny has said exactly what I thought. Completely depends on your style.

Very amusing comments, dd and I have enjoyed reading them all. Grin

I'm 5ft 9in size 10 and my style is slightly edgy, the colour looked amazing on me I'm HOC vibrant autumn if that makes any difference?

It's too expensive to buy to spite dd....I need a winter coat but they are all so deadly dull!

I take back all I said because I think it would suit you perfectly (size 10 5ft9 slightly edgy etc)
signed slightly fat, old bint who doesn't suit blue Grin

Don't like it, sorry. Shapeless and not a nice colour.

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 22/08/2014 16:01

To be fair, if you wear it with very high heels and edgy hair/make-up etc, I think it would be ok - and then only if you're under 30.

Very high heels are not something I own, I can't walk in them Blush. I'm more likely to wear it with skinny jeans, maybe some black crops, brogues, polo necks, white buttoned up shirt, flat shiny pointy ankle boots, Chelsea boot....that kind of thing.

Love the coat and from the description of yourself, it sounds as if you could carry it off.
