<makes mental note not to post photo of self in leather shorts on self's blog>

MrsCampbellBlack Mon 18-Aug-14 13:03:17

WIT - you were clearly working for m&s last week so please disclose this - we're not stupid. And come on, you so got a massive discount on that £1k canvas bag you bought for your 1 year old DD - or at least I really hope you did.

I may have to stop reading WIT actually as she is giving me the rage. And just say what you're bloody new business is that has you slogging it out at Shoreditch House.

manofsponge Mon 18-Aug-14 13:35:43

Bloggers. The ripped jeans thing. You do look a little bit like this

Karbea Mon 18-Aug-14 13:40:22

Do you think if any of the bloggers were just normal we wouldn't read them because they'd be dull or would it actually be more interesting and credible?

MrsCampbellBlack Mon 18-Aug-14 13:44:06

Looks down at ripped jeans and dies a little.

Cereal0ffender Mon 18-Aug-14 13:49:55

The leather shirts are mental. I think she knows that, look at her face

gerbiltamer Mon 18-Aug-14 14:19:06

I admire Joanna's (Poppy's Style) experimental nature. She also has a great love for Boden leather jackets, as do I. She writes well and seems to know her stuff.

As for the Laura F one, well I had a look yesterday and it was a load of stylish pap. Yes, she gets a great deal for free. Jealous? Mmm, I am quite a bit. I expect her life isn't all doing the washing up in mink-lined marigolds though?

manofsponge Mon 18-Aug-14 14:22:26

i like Poppy, I do. She is fun.

Just the drapery of dresses - NO and the ripped boyfriend jeans DO NOT SUIT YOU. they make your legs look wide. this boyish thing with jeans and t shirts NO NO NO.

The leather shorts are unspeakable.

Bloggers should have a thing where they let US tell them what they look good in.

manofsponge Mon 18-Aug-14 14:23:29

CHRIST that bag from WIT. its horrendous

Cereal0ffender Mon 18-Aug-14 14:24:07

Tits and high top t-shirts are hard to do

gerbiltamer Mon 18-Aug-14 14:24:55

Fair enough. I can't wear normal crew neck t-shirts either as they make me look like the 'I am a rectangle' from Mr Maker.

manofsponge Mon 18-Aug-14 14:26:46

no - i have a couple I use as PJ tops - the merest glimpse...

manofsponge Mon 18-Aug-14 14:27:09

plus bloggers paint splattered trousers look like you have had an accident in B and Q.

manofsponge Mon 18-Aug-14 14:27:57

comme ca

gerbiltamer Mon 18-Aug-14 14:30:40

Blimey, I thought that blogger was hanging around the bedroom furniture section of B&Q?

manofsponge Mon 18-Aug-14 14:32:12

all the bloggers get jeans and DO stuff to them. I have no idea whither this urge comes?

BelindaAllWorkedOut Mon 18-Aug-14 14:38:13

I adore Eve and I love that she experiments. I'm genuinely sad to see a picture of her on this thread.

gerbiltamer Mon 18-Aug-14 14:42:45

Do you think bloggers will be stealing VW badges and placing Grolsch tops through their DMs soon?

jammietart Mon 18-Aug-14 14:49:27

I think this is an unnecessarily cruel thread and really not in the spirit of S&B. There's a world of difference between Poppy et al blogging outfits and WIT selling her soul to Anya Hindmarch in exchange for a canvas holdall.

manofsponge Mon 18-Aug-14 14:52:23

the paint person came up on a google image search.

gerbiltamer Mon 18-Aug-14 14:55:31

Agree with Jamie I do truly like Poppy's Style.

I am not a fan of paint spattered jeans though, but each to their own. I wish that I was skinny enough to fit into sample sizes.

Dumpylump Mon 18-Aug-14 15:03:50

I like Poppys Style too, and I've decided that she is one of those people who probably looks a lot better in real life than they do in photos.
She says what size her clothes are, and wears stuff from All Saints that I know for a fact wouldn't fit someone who is the size that she looks in some of the pics, iykwim?
My favourite blogger though is Susie So So - she's probably not the most adventurous in terms of trying new stuff, but I really like her look and the way she writes....and 95% of the things she blogs about are things that I could (and sometimes do) buy too.

gerbiltamer Mon 18-Aug-14 15:06:48

I shall look up Susie So So. I've never bought anything from All Saints because my F cups wouldn't even squeeze into the 16. I do love leather jackets though smile

rubyflipper Mon 18-Aug-14 15:10:51

I'm a member of the Poppy fan club. I like the fact that she experiments with her clothes and and she isn't model-sized so you get a much better idea of how the clothes look. Plus I have a similar body shape to her.

I like the way Bum40 writes but that's about it. Everything looks good on her as she is tall, slim, has good bone structure, great hair and lots of money.
