I need a killer interview dress.

I have an interview at the beginning of September for a management role in a council. I need a killer interview dress. I'm 5'6" size 14 big boobs, big tummy, good legs. Please help.

Why a dress? Surely a suit

Suits are a bit dated now in my opinion! I would wear a dress and a co-ordinating jacket, maybe in a bright colour.

I love a dress and jacket on an interview candidate.

I have big boobs so a blouse to go with a suit is difficult. Dresses are cooler too.

I think too titty.

And you will get no wear out of a suit in my experience unless it is what everyone wears to work. I just sent my 'interview suit' off to the charity shops, what a waste of money.

baddog this is the second thread I've seen you on saying dresses are 'too titty' for work. What the fuck are you on about?

Steady on angry lady.

If she has a big bust and a close fitting dress it will give a rather overly titty profile. IMO.

And straining out of a blouse wouldn't?

Depends how canny a shopper you are

I love this jacket. Perhaps with a conservative dress underneath?

love this although how do you feel about the round neck and big boobs?

iMO dresses look:
modern
stylish
together
feminine
groomed

and suits look:
dated
masculine
boxy
dishevelled

i would get a DVF wrap dress, john Lewis tights (the exact ones k middy wears), lk Bennett court shoes and a v smart bag.

I'm ok with a boat neck, but apart from that a high neck does me no favours.
I want a dress, I don't want to wear a suit.
Looking back at Joan from Mad Men, she had substantial assets, but always looked business like at work.

I bought an Austin Reed tailored dress (similar stats to you) from an outlet and it looks amazing. Wore it with a smart Austin Reed fitted cardigan and felt very confident. Agree about suits and blouses. Pricey even in outlet but have worn it for conferences and other formal work events and always feel good. Good luck.

The outfit Lucked put together is really nice. Smart, stylish, memorable and individual. But still classic. Lovely.
